In all seriousness though... it tells you what your afr is at any given second. Some even have warning lights that will alert your attention if things get hairy. Its basically a gauge wired to a control unit, which is then wired to what appears at first glance to be an O2 sensor. But a 'wideband' 02 sensor works at a different voltage, giving you a wider, more responsive range of readings.
For example... on Subarus, i look for about 11.5:1 afrs when i'm spooling up and making torque... Then it tapers down to about 11:1 as I hit redline. Turbocharged cars normally require a little extra fuel at the top end. Not because its needed for spark, but because its needed to cool the cylinders to prevent detonation.
