Feb 18th - Philly SCCA - Ripken Stadium

Welp just figured I would post that I am definitely hitting up this event. I should have gone to the last one.

For the new guys, autocross event in Aberdeen, MD at Ripken Stadium with the Philly SCCA. If you have never autocrossed before, come on down, you will have a blast.

I was at the last event on the 28 of January and the weather was so nice. I plan on actually running the RX-7 on the 18th in the novice class since this will be my first attempt at autocrossing. Hope to meet you guys at this event.

Twin_Cam 02-02-2006 12:45 PM

I'll be there, co-driving a certain teal Civic in the above avatar

The weather better be nice...

BlackBulletTSi 02-02-2006 01:05 PM

I would like to be there would be fun. Just my suspension is horrible once I fix that then I'll autocross.

olmytsi 02-03-2006 08:28 PM

US_R33 02-03-2006 11:54 PM

HuffRex 02-04-2006 02:38 AM

I might be there as well. If I do come I will participate in my first Auto-X event!

mazda6guy 02-06-2006 03:28 PM

Hey I signed up today so hopefully I can meet you guys at this event. I will be in a brown RX-7 running over the cones. I also might have a dazed and confused look on my face. lol

US_R33 02-06-2006 04:48 PM

i'll see if i have my suspension sorted out by then... its in need of a few changes before i race this year. i'm definitely planning to be at the march event in warminster, and if i'm lucky i'll be able to make it to this one as well.

US_R33 02-06-2006 04:59 PM

you better be out to the one lol

as long as the suspension isn't going to fall off the car you should race it :-p

mazda6guy 02-07-2006 09:04 AM

Yeah my thoughts exactly. The suspension on the RX-7 is not to my liking but I am still going to run it and work on it throughout the season. Plus I need to learn the car and sitting on the sideline is not an option this year unless my car break down on me.

96s14 02-07-2006 11:59 AM

i would love to come out and make an ASS out of myself with my newfound power!

BlackBulletTSi 02-07-2006 12:42 PM

I'd love to do this and a bunch of these kind of events this year. I'm gonna try to make this one but I also in need of a new suspension which might be done end of the month not sure. Still picking out what I want.

joe tom 02-07-2006 01:23 PM

i'm not rolling down with anyone, my girl and i will be leaving from her place so we'll just meet you guys down there

US_R33 02-07-2006 11:46 PM

as for the guys who "need" their suspension parts on the car...

i'm not sure why people seem to think that they aren't going to have any fun at an autox event if their suspension doesn't have all the parts on it that they want, you'll learn A LOT more by autoxing BEFORE you start to mod your suspension. if you already have some suspension mods autoxing prior to installing new mods will truly show you how much of a difference those new parts really make (when tested on a closed course)

just come out anyway, everybody sucks when they first start out, having more suspension mods will just amplify how badly the driver sucks  (b/c the car becomes less forgiving)

Late,
Daniel
