Lookin for new tires. ideas?

Ok so the tires I got with my volks are at their end tread wise. they were 225/40/R18 on 18x8 Volk GTVs. I want a little more rubber on the road so im looking to go 235/40/R18 with at least a W speed rating.

What tires are the best as far as Performance vs tread life balance go?

I've been researching new skins for the Rex as well. I'd have to say the best bang for the buck is gonna be the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo. They're a 280 AA A rating, 95 Y in P235/40ZR18. They consistently rank just behind the Z1 Star Spec in handling/ performance, and are relatively cheap pricewise.

Nitto 555 or 555r. Can't remember which one is really for the street, but a buddy of mine has 20k miles on his set and they havea a little bit of tread left.

Falken's the fk-452's are what I run and they are a pretty great tire.
If you want more performance than get the rt-615's.

As far as new tires go, I was thinking Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. Has anyone heard anything about them? tirerack has them rated 8.5 and their 600 bucks

thatd be dope........ if i were setup to do it, but honestly im about function over form, and the whole "slammed" thing on a street car is ****ing retarded. also as im on a stock suspension, so i couldnt run the kinda camber necessary for running tires that wide, and my car is not currently powerful enough to require such tires, and my rims are flush with 245s so 255s wont fit.

I have alotta reasons not to go that big lol, itd be dope, but not right now. its my dd and it just needs to fit what i got right now.

I just picked up the Star Specs in 245/40/18 about 2 weeks ago...they look pretty badass on my car. The only thing bad I can say about them is they are a little noisy, but its well worth it for the grip I picked up over my old Kuhmo SPTs.

I also placed 1st in class (out of 6) last Sunday at the SJR autox when the tires only had about 100 miles on them. How's that for a recommendation?
