Windshield crack
 

I have a crack on the inside of my windshield on my 94 continental... were my review mirror connects tot he glass. Its almost a inch long and I was told it cant be repaired and for a new windshield i got quotes of 975 and 1100 and 688 any one know of anywhere else local that does quality work and is fairly cheap?

I was also wondering.. i was planning on putting in subs as soon as i got my taxes back... nothin crazy just 2 10" kicker comps... is that a bad idea now that there is a crack in the windshield??

I think the glass crack will spread regardless if you get subs...but they won't help either.
Maybe you can find a windshield at the junkyard.

claim it under your insurance if you got full coverage it will be no fault just pay your deductable

And speaking of windshields. I just destroyed mine trying to take it out tonight. Thats what I get for not having the right tools.

Ill call some junkyards tomorrow.. but i heard bad things about taking a used windshield.

im not exactly sure.. i think i have liability and the cars set as a leisure vehicle only or something ill check after school today.

dude...where did you get those quotes from? You can get glass done for <200 on that car...why the hell is it so expensive? Even the dealer isn't that much!

Park it in the driveway, throw a rock at it, and claim it under homeowners! :mrgreen:

actually, homeowners isnt a bad idea, you can just say you came outside on morning and it was like that. Check how much it'll effect your rates though, because ANYthing claimed on homeowners makes it go up.

ill talkt o my dad about that.. but i called diamondautoglass and they sid 975.... and some plavce i think Eds? I dont think i have heated windows so id no why it is so much. Who should i call?

Diamond Auto Glass was pretty cheap when Ash had to replace the one in the wagon.
