Well.. I'm in China for the month, and since their government blocks facebook and a majority of my friends are on TST, I thought I'd post up a little photoblog here. I will try to update it as much as I can, I'm not sure how lenient of crazy my schedule is going to be. We got to the hotel yesterday around 9pm (9am your time) and immediately began getting so drunk that I now have a terrible hangover.

I'm heading to the great wall in a bit I'll post up pictures tonight or tomorrow. For now, here is the view from my hotel room in Beijing.

Thanks bro. I will definitely be posting more pictures soon, we're rushing around trying to grab breakfast and catch the bus right now. The flight over here was 13 and a half hours. It was really cool because we went west the whole time and left around 4PM from NYC - so it did not get dark for the entire flight. I'm in Beijing until Sunday and then spend three weeks at a university in a city called Chongqing.

Good deal Andrew. Glad to see you made it OK. Don't forget to ask where the nearest Chinese restaurant is :) BTW, can't wait to see pics from the Great Wall.

I'm trying to find the Chinese restaurant Rich, but no one understands me :(

By the way, I only have my 50 1.4 with me.

The internet here takes forever to upload photos, but here are a few from today. The great wall was steep as hell, and the steps were very uneven. One step could be 3 inches, the next could be a foot and a half.

i love that shot of the girl in the arch !!!! i was exactly where you are now, six months ago !!! awesome isnt it !!! i climbed to the top of the eastern wall and almost died, its quite a hike. btw, watch out for the armed guards, they dont like having their photos taken !!! be safe, and dont buy into the system, hehehehe.

we jsut got kicked out of a bar in beijing by the police. chinese cant hang with us apparently

i was hungover as hell going to the great wall and didn't expect it to be so steep... i was struggling bigtime on it, haha.

thanks BT. yeah we have been drinking prettyy much the whole time we have been here. being hungover on the GW was a sobering experience haha.

Bump. Been at the university in Chongqing for a few days now. It's very smoggy here and often very irritating to breathe, especially when we walk up 5 flights of stairs to our dorm rooms and when we walk to class, which is about a mile away.
