wheel and offset help!

i own a 08 civic si coupe and lowered on skunk2 coils maxed out in the rears and about 7 threads left till im maxed in the front. my question is i wanna run 17x7 with an offset of 38. im runnin stock 17x7.5 offset of 45 no rub no problem. i wanna run 215/45/17 or 205/40/17 will this be a problem wit a 38 offset? also wanna know if i can run 17x9 with a 38 offset being low wit 215/45/17 or 205/40/17. i dont wanna mess wit camber at the moment or get my fenders rolled. i just wanna get everything on before sonic!

PS: i went to NTB and they told me i could not run offset of 38 and he like rambled on about other stuff so i just left.

they will sit at almost the exact same flushness (if thats what you want to call it) as your other ones.

and 215's are pretty wide for a 7" rim i would stick with 205's

the offset is only relative to width of the rim. it is the measurement in mm from the center to where it mounts at.

your previous set was 7.5"x25.4= 190mm/2 = 95 mm to the center. 95-45=50/25.4= 1.9in front spacing and 95+45=140/25.4= 5.5in backspacing

new set is 7"x25.4= 177.8/2= 89mm to center. 89-38=51/25.4 = 2in front spacing and 89+38= 127mm/25.4= 5in backspacing

the only real difference would be the backspacing and since its smaller, they would obviously fit
