Probably a stupid question, but ..
.. I wanted to check and see if you guys do the whole tire mounting/balancing thing.
To make a long story short, I'm finally ready to powdercoat the 19" OEM Rays on my G35 Coupe. I'll be taking them to LPC -- but I'm assuming they only deal with powdercoating, not with tire shenanigans. So my question is -- will you guys be able to dismount my current bald tires, and then mount/balance new tires once the wheels are finished being powdercoated? The tires will be 225/40/19 on the front, and 245/40/19 on the rear. Thanks much! |
yes they will be able to.. mine wer done there
|
^^^ Thanks Eric!!!
Yes sir...we do that service for alot of customers. We can also get ya tires for the newly PC'ed wheels or if ya find a really good deal you can have them shipped hear as well. Let us know. Thanks, Vince |
I actually ordered the tires this morning .. and they're already on their way to my house! I wish I'd thought to have 'em shipped to your shop, then I wouldn't have to worry about shoving a bunch of wheels AND tires into my bleepin' car, LOL.
Anyway -- do I need to make an appointment for that kinda stuff? Or is it okay if I just walk in with my stuff and say, "Haaaaay, I need help with my tires, plz!" |

Also, since I need time to figure out how the hell I'm gonna transport the pile of wheels and tires, I prolly won't be getting to the shop till the beginning of May. :( |
^^^ Im sorry i read your post but forgot to answer ur question....:bigeek:
We should be able to fit ya in within a day. So it would be best to make an appt and we get ya in...you looking to do an alignment as well? Vince |
^^ So you're senile too, huh? LOL.
As far as the alignment goes .. I'd been planning on picking up some wheel spacers for my G .. Maybe I'll just drop those off with you guys, too. Then we can do the whole show -- pop the new tires on the freshly powdercoated wheels, install spacers, do an alignment, and then my G will be set for the summer. I assume you guys can do spacers? They're gonna be Ichiba V2, 20mm front and 25mm rear. I'm a little nervous about putting them on, since I've read some horror stories about spacers .. but I figure that as long as they're torqued down properly (about 80 ft/lbs) and I keep an eye on 'em, the wheels should stay on the car alright. :bigeek: |
^ may wanna look into longer studs too... but vince can answer that better than dave
::edit:: just spoke in the 3rd person... weird |
