Arkadyzv's 07 e90 335i .... coils+ wheels + wheels + new suspension #23

The Legacy is basically sold. Picked this up last Wednesday, the only thing done so far is 15% tint.

Loving it so far, basically what I wanted the LGT to be , but it would never be. Went auto this time around too as stick on a daily basis was becoming more of a chore than a pleasure.

Basically fully loaded, I think the only thing it does not have is comfort access which I dont want.

Next few weeks plans:
Body colored grills
Red/Smoked Tails
Cf wrap the wood
Hack I-drive for video in, thus adding backup camera and using a media player hard drive to play all the videos from the Legacies car pc.

Then maybe springs, spacers and a front lip for a little bit.

By summer:

Bilstein PSS10's
M3 fitment 19's, slammies, stretch and poke.
Mtek front bumper with fmic.
And a few performance mods thrown in, when it comes to making power this car is ridiculous when it comes to bang for buck.

Basically this guys setup which is think is perfect, minus the hood.

19x11 et 4

Oh thats coming sometime soon, I'm going to take it easy with performace, as its decently quick stock, should theoretically runs mid 13's. Makes about 260-270whp stock. Going to dyno it stock this week.

Juicebox + cone filters = 700 bucks
350ish whp, so basically a gain of 80whp for almost no money, in fact someone local is selling me a juicebox for 250, so 150 for intakes. 80whp , 400 bucks, score lol.

If I add meth and dp's its 450/450. And thats maybe 1000 bucks if I buy knew.

So like I said when it comes to perfomance and bang for buck, its easy, in fact way too easy so I'm just going to take my time and take it easy so I wont get bored that quickly with it lol.

When/Where you dynoing it? I'll come video if I'm free and we can do before/after vids once you start modding.
I liked your subie, but i think the potential of this is going to be a lot nice in the long run.

Baller zomggg fan making an extra 4hp/4tq

266/277. Exactly what it should make bone stock, very happy with it, and its made a bit more power than the LGT atleast horsepower wise.

Did JB3 + dual cone intakes. Made 347/368. Left happy.

80hp and 90tq at the wheels definitely makes a difference.

Bought some Gloss Black BMW Performance grills, they should be in Saturday. In the process of buying a house so everything else is on hold which sucks because I've seen so many nice sets of Bilstein and KW coils pass by.

But if anything this is what I'm shooting for by mid-summer.
Wheels
H&R Sport Springs
BMW Perf Splitters
Hamann lip

Yeah I don't blame them lol. If I kept the LGT I was planning to 20g it. But after thinking about it, getting the 335i and just throwing the JB3 in made the same power the 20g would on the LGT plus the handling, interior, etc . Then I drove the 335 and the decision was easy.

98GSXdude 06-03-2010 09:53 AM

How's the handling? Is it the same as any 3-series with sport package? I'm curious for myself.

arkadyzv 06-03-2010 09:55 AM

I can't say I've driven any of the other 3 series, at least not spiritedly enough to make a comparison. I'd say it felt as good as the e46 m3, but having been in an e92 m3, I'd say that if I ever choose to upgrade anything I would mostly take the stock parts from that as the way it drives and handles is amazing.

In my book, the car handles very good for stock, to the point where I dont know if I will do anything handling wise just because I dont think I'll reach the limits of it. Mine also has active steering which changes the ratio of the steering rack as the speed increases thus it always feels nice and tight lol.

love these cars...looking good so far. tune these right and there as fast as C63s lol

That's good to hear. You're absolutely right about reaching the limits. I put so much money into the suspension on the Z, but I feel like its so much overkill because I never track the car like I had originally intended to before I bought it. And about equal to an E46 M3 you say? That's pretty impressive. I can't wait to get my hands on one to test out one of these days.

As fast as a C63?!?! A tune, intake, and downpipe alone on a 135i/335i is good for mid-11's @ 120+. And if you've seen Vishnu's video, able to pull Lambos on the highway. The N54 really is a marvel.

My brother has a stock automatic 535xi, and even though it weighs 19 times more than its smaller siblings it still pulls really nice!
