'57 Belair project by GV

We're in the early stages of a complete interior revamping on this '57 Belair owned by a good customer of ours. Plans include low back buckets in the front, front to rear console, new panels through out, as well as nice stereo system.

awesome would love to build one of these one days

nissamax 03-25-2010 05:30 PM

love it but the new head unit is out of place ... it would have looked better if it was hidden somewhere

11secdsm 03-25-2010 07:53 PM

It won't look out of place when we're done. The interior is getting a complete revamping including a front to rear center console. This head unit is temporary and will be getting moved to the console and swapped in favor of a double DIN piece.

my dad and i are close to finishing a full frame off resto of a 56 Nomad. Been a long process to do in a two car garage with no lift, but its almost done. only thing left is to hang the driverside door, mount the front bumper and some trim pieces.

These are cool cars, cant wait to see the finished product. if you need any parts, contact east coast chevy, ole 55 in doylestown. I used to work there, they have everything.

Awe man...i've wanted to build a Nomad for SOOOOO long. I wish I could find a decent one w/o spending a fortune. So many of them have rotted away and are way more project than I want.

Very nice car. Here is my friends 66 belair, runs consistent low 11's. We will be at cecil on Sunday if the weather is ok. Along with some other trailered beast's. Photos by Mike Young

my dads had it for about 30yrs. it was a wreck, and needed tons of work. heres how it sits as of 2 weeks ago, about 3-4 years into the afterwork retsoration.

She's a beaut! I'm always on the look out for a good example to purchase. Some day....

Showoff03LS 03-27-2010 07:36 PM

stereo ?? its a prostreet Belair u dont need stereo just listed to the exhaust

11secdsm 03-27-2010 07:38 PM

It's also a driver. He often drives the car to Wildwood, OC, etc. The engine/exhaust note is nice, but after 15 years of no stereo, he wants one. :)
