Some info about Drew's Run

"Drew's Run" is a short Rally dedicated to a friend and fellow car enthusiast who died this past year at the age of 24. Drew had a long hard fight with cancer and managed to pull through, but as soon as things starting getting better he found himself in the hospital again. This time facing one of the most dangerous procedures in the medical field, a bone marrow transplant. He underwent intense radiation and chemotherapy and was putting up an amazing fight. However the infection was proven too be to strong and on August 9th 2007 Drew found peace, he would have been 25 August 12th.

More can be found on his site at www.drewspinelli.com

Drew loved cars and also appeared in my last dvd "Ready Fuels" in his BMW M5. One of the things Drew wanted to do before he passed was to take some good friends and have a small Rally/Cruise. However the drive never happened and as we have Drew in our thoughts and his family in our prayers we do this drive for them.

Please Visit BsaintMedia.com for ways to contribute and be apart of future Rallies.

Added the pictures and story

Figured I'd add the pictures/coverage as well.

Thursday last week Drew's Run 2009 rolled out of King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania at about 11:30am, our destination being Knoxville, TN. a trip spanning some 620+ Miles. at around 9pm that night the group of 7 cars arrived at the Hotel. Early the next morning the group left bound for the "Tail of the Dragon" even leaving for the dragon by 730am didnt seem early enough as during the course of the day the group would travel some 920+ miles. As we progressed through the dragon and Tennessee and eventually North Carolina through some of the coolest, twistiest and most scenic roads i have ever witnessed we finally got on our way heading south at around 10am having completed the dragon we now headed out of the smokey mountains and back to some open highways. Once on major roads the group traveled south to miami arriving at our hotel Viceroy Miami at about 10:30pm

The next day was spent relaxing and at about 4pm the group attended a meet with Miami and Florida locals right in the heart of Miami. The group relaxed and enjoyed their time in miami as the next morning about mid day we were leaving for South Carolina. The next day, we left heading to a hotel in south carolina a trip covering some 784 miles. we left miami at 12:30pm and arrived at our hotel in SC at 10:30pm once again very The next morning the group headed the the Zentrum for a tour of BMW museum. unfortunately those sour-krauts had it closed. so instead we participated in some other activities which i will allow the videos to explain. from there we left for the North again. Myself and a few others heading to West Chester, PA and a few others heading even further to New york and new Hampshire.

our trip covered a Grand Total of 2,902 miles. :woot:

Videos are coming very soon. With a total of 650+ pictures and 6 hours of video tape, i assure you there are some worthy looks.

The Blow-up dolls name is Cindy. Sadly she lost her legs in a tragic drifting accident at the Tail of the Dragon.

We will be possibly holding a Tail of the Dragon run in the fall in memory of Cindy, touching all the great roads and scenic views in the beautiful area.

ketchup! 03-23-2010 09:47 PM

time to get critical. lol. anyway i thought the colors are way too harsh, might just be me but its video im not trying to look at a super edited hdr photo. I would invest into a steadicam or something like that, some shots are way too shaky for me. but other than that good job fellow video nerd!

Shoot me a PM or email if you are interested, it's obviously open to everyone. I highly recommend getting a co-driver though it not only helps with driving when tired but also splitting the cost of fuel.

Thanks for the comments and critics, I enjoy the look and colors of the film and since it's my style/video I'll continue to do it, but usually in a dvd or tv I do tone it down a bit. Also steadicams are great however are not able to use inside a moving vehicle at 100+mph there is no room for the counter weights or other equipment. Most of the "shaky" shots weren't shot by me and they were shot by my friend Kenny and his crappy little Gl2. He since then has picked up a Panasonic HMC150 and just the even weight distribution of the camera has helped steady his shots.

I always welcome criticism and almost always take it into consideration, so thank you. I would love to see some of your work.
