sunday nights in ne philly
 

is there anywhere 2 go in ne philly or surounding areas without getting kicked out by the cops? i've been going to the shopping center on the roosevelt blvd just south of grant (marshalls store). theres usually alot of cars, but the cops come by 9 and throw everyone out. the cops are cool with us being there, until a few idiots start doing burnouts or racing down the blvd (and its always the slow cars who shouldnt be racing). any help would be appreciated! its me in my 09 nissan gtr and my bro in his dsm powered porsche 911.

I've seen the 911 before, car is NASTY! Don't really know where to go, everywhere is either full of ricers or just people I personally find unpleasant so I don't go anymore.

you are right, the majority of the people there act like children and thats why the cops get called. we were just looking for somewhere to hang without the cops coming and without all of the immature people

I'm looking for the same location, hanging around the older muscle car crew was always a good low-key gig but they moved to a new spot as far as I know and I dunno where it is. If you find somewhere LMK.

After getting kicked out of welsh, alot of people go up behind the wawa on the blvd right past the city/bensalem line. I also hear about/drove past, a small gathering at the formal mills on grant right at the blvd on sunday night back when it was warm.

Back last year, both spots were just hotspots for racing which is why I stopped going. Nobody knows how to park and chill anymore, every ricer has something to prove and it usually takes them way too long to do it.

i have also tried sams club in franklin mills, but after a few weeks more cars/people looking for trouble showed up and the cops werent far behind. maybe we should pick a place. ive heard of people going to the parking lot near the movie theater in neshaminy mall, but i hanemt checked it out yet

Maybe we should find a place that's out of the way and only invite people who can bahave AND not bring people that can't. I know the Miata might look funny between a GTR and 4G63 Carrera (it looks good but not THAT good), but we're for the same noble cause.

why not start a new meeting spot?? theres a few boat launches on state road in the tacony area, huge lots im always there on sundays, running the rc cars, but theres plenty of room. and theres a few people that already meet there.

Because if we put it on here it will be ricerific in no-time.

Hell if you guys find a place and its perfect weather ill bring out one of my cars.

try a spot in south philly me and my buddies with our hot rods are always crusing around we don't have a steady spot cause we are always on the move looking for more people to have fun with lol

Lets get a spot going, and everyone who comes needs to have some balls to tell the ricers to knock it off and leave. The only reason ricers wreck meets is because enough people dont say "go home ricer" Its that simple, step up, tell them to act their age and not their displacment, and all will be chill.

I tried that route before along with a few other people when we did meets at Whitman tavern. But people get tired of saying the same **** over and over again. Then they stop and I'm left there being the only one to say something to people. I mean there is only so much one man can do.

I know it has been tried before, but we just got to tell them to leave. This will be a meet for people who are into cars, people who are into cars dont need to see a burn out or high performance pep boys stickers to know if its a nice car. If people start ****, they need to be forced to leave. Or we all just need to make fun of them till they feel bad about themselves :p

im in on trying to force out the idiots who think big spoilers add 100 hp and gay stickers add 10 hp each! lets just pick a spot and go, probably better off going in the suburbs bc the philly cops are less likely to be cool with us because of the dumbasses racing on the blvd and crashing into regular people. worse case, we can try to be friendly with the cops and see if they are cool. this has worked for me before in newtown township.

People use to meet up at the shopping center by whiskey tango it's out of side from the street. Though that was 5-6 years ago when we use to get kicked out of the mall parking lots on Sundays.

after the marshalls last year was raided by the cops, some of us went to the one of the gas stations on the blvd. it was good forawhile, a couple of weeks, but then began to be overan and people couldnt even get gas in it. so the cops came and so much for that.
