my cluster

ive got a problem that nobody in my family can seem to answer. well the light on my mileage counter in my 2003 cavalier ls sport went out. i can still see the miles but only during the day in the sun.

My question is: Do i have to buy a whole new cluster or can i just replace the bulb?

THANKS FOR THE HELP

Just replace the bulb.

It sounds like the backlight went out. Try replacing the bulb first and see what happens.

Bulb but you have to get to it. Probably not too difficult just take it out and see where to go from there. Probably an LED 3mm or so.

Wait, is it a rolling counter or an LCD screen? If its a backlit LCD, I'd guess you'd have to solder a new one in...

You are correct. I changed the interior lights of my GTO to red. Make sure you are good at soldering before doing this as it isn't the easiest job I ever did but def doable.

My Talon just has twist in #74 bulbs and was cake!
