Just a suggestion on a tire and wheel section... some where that tire sizes and clearences/offsets ect ect ect can be discussed. Also what wheels and or tires people like ect. Thanks for reading :)

Yeah.:iagree:

Tire discussion would be really good since some of us go through them pretty quickly.

The only reason I thought of this is because I need to find somewhere that fixes small dings in wheels for the used pair I just bought.... and I didn't know where I should post this. I posted in the vendor section but it seems that nobody posts or even reads posts in there. I guess I could post in the general car thread or gallery bc I have pictures but they seem to be the only section used and I'm afraid it would get offtopic. Anyways... now I'm rambling.

Try Wheel Collision just outside Allentown PA. I’ve had several wheels repaired there for the 18 inchers on my Honda.

Yeah, you’re right. It would fall under suspension. :driving:

Yeah I guess it would, but if you look at all the posts that are about wheels or tires, there scattered everywhere around the forum and not 1 is in the suspension and brake section. Just my .02

well we tried to move as much as we could over when we created the suspension forum, but there is so much old stuff its tough.
anything in the future about wheels (that arent purely looks and belong in the exterior section) should be posted in the suspension and brakes section.

I'm new here, and havent the foggiest idea how forums run... but why cant there just be an added wheels/tires section that is separated?

I agree with you, Troll, but have the feeling that people will continue to post elsewhere.

Just a thought, like i said, i know nothing about this kind of thing :)

TROLL 01-24-2006 01:40 AM

the reasoning there is that there needs to be a balance of enough forums to get specific but not too many so that things are broken up to much. i could have a wheels forum, and then i could have a chrome subforum, a cast subforum, a forged subforum, a 4 lug subforum, a 5 lug subforum, etc etc just as an example. wheels and tires clearly belong in the suspension and brakes section and if you see something on the subject posted elsewhere help us out and click that red and white ! to the left of the post and notify the mods about it.
