1/31/2010 Autocross at Wachovia Centers parking lot
 

The Philly SCCA is hosting its first autocross for the winter series. For this event you can register online or on site, however there is a limit to 150 cars so first come first served. If you do register online, you will have to pay online while registering. Its $55 for non-SCCA members and $40 for SCCA members. The event is gonna be held in the Wachovia Centers parking lot on January 31st which is this coming sunday.

If you wanna get started into racing, I'd suggest you start with autocross so come check it out even if you don't wanna run. In autocross, basically you can run any car even if its completely stock or heavily modified. There's always instructors which are willing to guide you through the track and its free so take advantage of that if your a newb. In autocross you race against the clock while racing against other cars in your same class and comparing yourself overall with eveyone at the end of the day. This is not a head to head competition, but rather a race against the clock and a way to learn and test the suspension and control of your car.

With that said, any questions, feel free to post. If I don't have an answer, I'm sure other experts in the sport will. This is an invite for everyone to come out and run or atleast watch.

I'm going to try to make the feb event. It'll be my first AutoX event.
Well, kind of... My first pseudo AutoX was the Mazda Rev-it-up even years ago.

damit i wish i saw this sooner, i would of done this but its too late for me :(
