Are all Honda engine series axel's the same?

I'm about to pick up a new axel for my 93 del sol and I wasnt sure about something. I've heard a d series axel is a d series axel.. Is this true? So a d series axel will fit a eg coupe , hatch, del sol, etc etc...

d series axel will fit a dseries tranny.

Yeah.. I get that... but will they fit all chasis? I figured a d series axle for a del sol would be a different length then a coupe etc..

Yes you are correct. Say you wanted D series for a delsol you have to get it specifically for the delsol, sorry i misunderstood your question

I just saw on a ebay auction that a axle was listed for civics and del sol's

Civic/Del Sol = same thing really, not like an EG and EK.

Yeah really an axel will fit say B series motors in 92-00 civic/94-01 integra and whatever year delsols came with b16's

Yes, 92-00 D series axles are all the same. Before 92 not the same. The only difference you will find is some may have the ABS ring on the outer and some will not.

B series are the same way. The other difference with them is there differences in lengths on some intermediate shafts when comparing 90-93 to 94-00. There are also male and female intermediate shafts making the drivers side axle different from generation as well.
