My Saab Build

I hope to update from time to time but here is my build on making one of the only ( or maybe the only ) Hirsch 9-5 currently in the US

For those who don't know Hirsch is the only approved Saab tuner and these cars can be purchased in most european countries but were never approved for sale in the us.

I really like the look for my 03 9-5 so I imported all the parts ( I have an office in the UK so I bought all the parts when I was there and shipped them out of our office there to save some $$) and the guys at Exotic Customs in west chester built the car for me.

Stuff you cant see:

The car has Hirsch Valved Shocks and progessive rated springs ( Lowers the car 1.5 inches) These are mde special by Eibach

2.75 inch SS downpipe and Race Cat leading to a full stainlees dual exhaust.

Drop in FMIC.

I am getting the Hirsch ECU ( Rated at 309 HP) and TB 28 turbo in the spring.

Purchased this 2003 Aero 5 Spd in Polar White, all options Vented Seats, back up warning, HIDs, HK Sound System. I had plans of a new project.

Looks good! Keep it clean.

lownslow95 12-10-2009 09:46 PM

Nice. I'm curious as to how it sounds with the exhaust.

Slowlane 12-10-2009 10:47 PM

i've taken notice of these on the road lately, nice looking cars. i do like the bbs's better than the hirsch wheels though.

TalonTsi97 12-10-2009 10:57 PM

Really like what you did with the car. Looked awesome with the BBS's but the other wheels are rare and probably something of note to saab enthusiasts. Please keep us updated, i'm going to keep checking in to see what you do with it in the future.

doug 12-10-2009 10:59 PM

one of the nicest saabs ive ever seen. good work.

TR MS3 12-11-2009 08:52 AM

The Hirsch Wheels have grown on me, can't wait to see how your performance plans pan out.

The Exhaust is way too quiet unless you are on it WOT, I may need to add a cheater pipe in place of the front resonator, we'll see

Thanks for the nice comments. I liked the BBS a lot too, but the teneded to rub a bit now that the car is lowered. I think the Hirsch 17s are a bit small looking and I installed a bit thinner sidewall tires on it as well. I am seriously considering dropping $$ on the 18 inch Hirsch but they will only sell one at a time ( since Hirsch is keeping them for replacements for thier customers. )

I am going over to talk to the Machinist at Mioller's today about what we need to do. I will add pics when I get a chance

Forever Rel 12-14-2009 02:40 PM

Nicee Saab. i never liked these cars untill this year. Hats off to you for having something different and clean.

mckchr67 12-27-2009 03:10 PM

That is a good looking car. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the 9k and 9-5. It is always good to see people doing work to their Saab.

Honduh 12-27-2009 08:47 PM

does this have a GM motor in it?

No but GM is using the Saab engine for the Ecotech so its the same block as the one in the Cobalt...

B00MB@ 01-03-2010 05:52 PM

oh nice so how easy is it to swap engine parts between a cobalt and your saab and what can you use from the cobalt block?
