Honda turnsignals. work but they dont work
Ok I am having an odd problem with my 1993 honda civic hatch. My turnsignals will go on but they will not blink. When I turn them on the will just stay lit for what ever direction I select. Also the hazard light will not blink. they will just stay on on all four corners. They did work when I got the car. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this? Thanks for your time guys

Hey,
It sounds like your blinker relay is frozen in "On" They should flash on and off... I'd replace it... |
I know they should flash on and off lol. if i didnt think that they needed to do that I wouldnt say their was a problem. But thanks I'll check that out this weekend.
|
well if you ever come by just swap it out of my car for the test... its right by the fuzes and it takes 20 seconds.

Some cars flash really fast or stay on when you have an out turn signal bulb. Check them. If they are all good, then check the flasher relay that is typically in the dash. The relay is usually very cheap and easy to relace.
|
They will flash fast if the resistance is low so the relay is off regulation. if its solid then its the relay.
They are big tower looking things in the fuze panel. |
yea sounds like the flasher is frozen to on like said before swap it out with someone that has a honda to test it
|
Yes the lights stay on. All four so i will check the relay. Thanks guys.
