How fast are stock SRT-4s?

I'm just curious to see how many people actually have an SRT-4 on this site and curious to see how fast they are stock if any of you have had them down the track stock. Just something I'm curious of knowing. It seems like a lot of you on this site own them. Just a random topic really. I'm not looking for a XXmph roll of any sort, just track numbers.

anywhere from 13.8 to 14.4 depending on driver

Broken5hift 01-06-2006 04:39 PM

most run low 14's at atco. people have hit 13's at englishtown. www.srtforums.com has a large database of timeslips

HickRocket1258 01-06-2006 04:44 PM

Alright well I was wondering what some of you have done. Plus who has the fastest one on this site. Just trying to make it somewhat interesting.

max2k1 01-06-2006 04:46 PM

Ray and Tiny are the 2 fastest... I think Ray is pushing somewhere close to 600whp

silver05bullet 01-06-2006 04:46 PM

theyre not that fast them srt-4's, even afte all the bolt ons get to much wheelspin unless they have slicks, and a good driver

there are alot of local fast srt-4's on www.srt-4mation.com

alot of them have stage 3 and head work as well as big turbo upgrades.

well that was a fairly useless comment....moving along, i was actually interested
in this thread

SilverTurboRidin 01-06-2006 07:18 PM

Yup like henry stated 13.8's-14.4 is a basis.....i have seen mid 13.5's on a FACTORY FREAK but thats about it.

HickRocket1258 01-06-2006 07:22 PM

Ok well how about some of you guys that own your SRT-4s and have taken it down the track. How fast have some of you guys gone whether stock or not? Just curious on how much you have to do to make it faster and because a lot of people seem to go to SRT-4s.

max2k1 01-06-2006 07:37 PM

I hit a 14.3 before i put my Stage 1 in...Im a pretty big guy as well, and my trunk wasn't exactly empty lol, ask Vypurr

SilverTurboRidin 01-06-2006 07:38 PM

the moms neon has never touched a track. But with a few mods... DP, exhaust, intake...preferrably the 3" one, and solid motor mounts...would make a nice little time setup for not that bad of a price...

Gorilla Unit 33 01-06-2006 07:49 PM

what broken shift said was right those srt4's have constant different times but all range stock within those numbers

05OCsrt-4 01-06-2006 09:51 PM

well hicrocket, u should come to the track when it opens, i keep trying to challenge LittleG to go, make it a TST track meet

HickRocket1258 01-07-2006 12:17 PM

Maybe I will. I've never been to Atco before if that's where we are talking about going. I wouldn't mind sometime though.

I have one of the slowest, fast srt-4s. :-p

IBLIS 01-07-2006 12:22 PM

my 03 SRT-4 ran a flat 14 sec 1/4 bone stock, then added stage 1 and ran a 13.5@103mph. I've added a few supporting mods since then and it traps around 108-110mph at 19psi on the stock turbo.

Scapegoat 01-07-2006 12:59 PM

My first run ever was a 14.2, unexperienced track driver. I managed to pull a 14.038 at 100.9 mph(woohoo) and a 14.094 at 98.76 mph at Cecil County on November 19th. It wasn't exactly warm.

I could have pulled into the 13's if I had less gas in the car(running with 3/4 tank) or the track was warmer. I hooked up pretty well though. My best 60' was a 2.149 for the latter run I listed. Which was a half second better than what some of the guys were expecting out of the car.

Car is completly stock. I'd like to hit a 13.8 on the car before modding. Maybe with less gas and some more practice I could. Hell, I'm tempted to take the stock car as far as possible before modding. But towing it in with a stripped interior and full CF body panels wouldn't really be cost effectice VS buying a larger turbo.
