IMO it looks like a toy. That's just me, though.

that. and it looks like it was focused on the puddle, the car is soft.

Cool shot tho, and nice lighting.

What do you think is "over edited" about that picture?

97TurboDSM 09-23-2009 11:44 PM

lol nothing is over edited about that picture. the only thing wrong with that picture is that the puddle is distracting, and thats kind of a big problem.

sisforsurfing 09-24-2009 12:26 AM

I think it's cool. It looks like a lot of photos on that person's site; lots of post-, vibrant colors, some good lighting. The orange + black looks great.

I don't think the puddle is distracting really, it just doesn't look real, the perspective is all skewed. The angle the shot needed to be taken of to make the pebbles look that size combined with the angle of the reflection don't really add up in my mind, but who knows. And the orange is blown out but that's probably just a compression thing.

Overall I like it. You can nitpick anything but I certainly wouldn't have done any better.

97TurboDSM 09-24-2009 01:16 AM

i would suggest isolating the puddle and making a different layer with it and adjusting the opacity to reduce some of the "punch" it carries.

Chris_PA 09-24-2009 01:45 AM

The front tire is a copy of the rear, the reflection doesn't match

And Hribar...what can I say

DelSol95 09-24-2009 08:14 AM

thanks for all the feedback. hes an amazing photographer if u checked his website. but hes very new in shooting cars. from what he has told me is lighting them is just a science he hasnt mastered yet. so all this feedback is awsome. thanks guys

he used a sb800 soft box 2 pro photos and 2 vivitar i think.

DelSol95 09-24-2009 08:20 AM

and the only thing edited on this picture was the front tire. when taking the photo, to get the whole or most of the car in the puddle, he had to pretty much lay in the puddle and get really low. with the un even ground it cut half the tire off.

avs0730 09-24-2009 08:23 AM

i like it and the del sol looks great

just not a fan of photoshopped pictures, except for minimal stuff like sharpness, cropping and lighting. like if a picture looks more like a painting. this picture isnt the best example, but like i said it looks good.

Supersprynt 09-25-2009 11:27 AM

I like the picture - I like the puddle. What is distracting to me are the rocks in the middle right. IDK what it is, but it's like poking me in the eye. Car does look a little soft but IDK what equipment he's using. If anything I'd adjust the angle a bit.
