Polar's 1993 Mazda MX6 LS-Turbo - engine bay painted

Well with the probe recently blowing up. i swapped all my boost over to my MX6. I've gotta say that honestly i enjoy driving the 6 more now than the probe when it was boosted. which means it will probably stay this way :)

I've got a few ideas that i'd like to get started on but first i'd have to sell the turbo kit that is on the car to make them come to fruition.

If anyones interested let me know

And without further ado. the 1st decent pic of my mx6

Nice, dont really care for the blue wheel tho.

DelayedZ 09-23-2009 12:01 AM

I like how the probe looked though, mx-6 not so much :(

zidek 09-23-2009 12:20 AM

some cars can rock blue wheels better than others but i'm not the one to judge lolz. more pics of the car?

nissamax 09-23-2009 01:09 AM

more pics?

rshissler 09-23-2009 03:48 AM

Well im glad the car stayed together for the ride down there man. lol guess you didn't follow any DSMs haha. Needs to be painted black for the rims to look sexy tho. We def should go to the WCU show when you get back. Im wet sanding my car now and respraying it so it doesn't look as bad. Hows the gauge workin to?

polarexpress17 09-23-2009 10:40 PM

yea ill be honest the blue does NOT fit the color at all. however they look 100x better than the rims that were on (eclipse spider wheels.) so yeah lol.

if i'm back i'll head down there with you shissler. man my ****s running EXTREMELY lean under boost like mid 14s thats probably why my probe popped.

rshissler 09-23-2009 11:14 PM

hhhmmmm yeeeaaaa i would say soo lol told you that night at sunoco that you needed a wideband.

Well i didnt have a successful trip back from florida. the car overheated sitting in traffic on the baltimore beltway, i stopped and put water in it and continued on my journey, then the front drivers wheel fell off. The one lug nut i found had no threads left in it. i think i put them on too tight LOL.

anyways i hauled the car home with a trailer and started to look for a motor. apparently the water pump seal was leaking pretty bad and was pouring water out of the engine. it overheated hot enough to melt the plug wires fast to the plugs/heads. So i needed a motor.

fortunately one of my friends needed work done on his probe, so i did the work in exhange for a motor. Once it was done i got to work on my beast

Its going to follow the same color scheme as my probe. (Black/blue/silver) Once the old engine is out the engine bay will be sprayed black. As of right now the wire tuck is pretty much done, the last few plugs (reverse switch, neutral safety switch) will get done when the new stuff is in.

no cares? :(

Some updates, the owner of the garage is painting the side of his car since he replaced the panels that were damaged in an accident. so i was kind of limited on stuff i could do.

i was hoping to have the engine/trans out last night but it will probably get done tonight instead.

I had the mx6 with the v6 in it and it to over heated and yes those sh***y plug wires melted in side the sleeves also. I hated when that happened took me forever to get all the melted plastic out of the sleeves. Best of luck to ya with the new build. I loved that car

CHAOS 10-21-2009 08:47 AM

mx6 > probe.

Vtecepidemic 10-21-2009 11:25 AM

justinlansdale 10-21-2009 12:25 PM

95naSTA 10-21-2009 02:16 PM

Should look sweet with the tuck. Is that metal cast paint?

polarexpress17 10-21-2009 02:17 PM
