I actually used to live in Ithaca for a year while commuting to Binghamton for work. Let me tell you...that sucked! I like Ithaca in the summer too though.

Yeah, that's a boring ass drive. There is a "car show" on Saturdays in Elmira, at the new WalMart. There are a lot of classics and a fairly decent import crowd. Pics here.

Is it worth my hour drive?

Ehhhh. If you have nothing better to do or you're in the area, yeah. But it's been pretty slow out there as of late. There was some drama early in the season and that seemed to take a toll on the turnout.

Well, I never just happen to be in that area, so...lol. Some drama eh? Anything sweet?

There is this kid with a pretty fast del sol (del slo in those fb pics) I guess he was being somewhat obnoxious and the police were called. The following week there was something said about it and a small spat ensued. Nothing big, but it set the mood for the rest of the season and people stopped coming. I've only been out a handful of times because it kind of blew this year.

Ah...I see. Well, let me know if **** picks back up this fall. I wouldn't be against taking the drive.

I'll keep an eye out and see how many people say they're heading out. If you know a few people, bring them on out too.

I have nothing super awesome to drive right now, but I'll make the trip if there looks like a good turnout.

You guys do anything like that your way? It's an hour for me in either direction.

I don't know too many people out here with decent cars. :( So to answer your question, I'm not aware of any get-together in this area either. :roll: That in and of itself bums me out.

We're in the same boat over here. Cortland is in between us all, I'd be all for spreading the word and getting some car **** together, especially on a Friday night. I have nothing better to do, and then it doesn't take up so much of the weekend as going on on Saturday.

EDIT: Guess we can't curse here. I'll have to watch it.

Sure you can...the site has swear filters. BUT...you should sign up for the "garbage bin". ;) It's anything goes in there.
