Was i wrong in this situation?

So me and my girlfriend... well now ex gf... got into a huge fight earlier. She has lived with me for over a year and this is by far the worst fight ever. **** escalated very very quickly. She was taunting me, threw a screw driver at me etc. She then took my brand new xbox 360 i bought less then 10 days ago. She also stole my laptop and hide them. After hours of fighting, she takes my xbox and smashes it on the driveway in the rain. she goes for the laptop next, but i ripped it out of her hands.

So i call the police. I mean, at this point, i had already told her to get out. Get her **** and leave. Go elsewhere. The cops come, and find the xbox in the driveway in a couple peices. So after all is said, the cops let her ransack the house to get "her stuff". So she is in MY house. Taking what ever she wants. The cops arnt even in there to watch her. THEY MAKE ME STAY OUTSIDE WHILE SHE TAKES WHATEVER SHE WANTS... WTF??? She takes my watch, the only photo of my mom i have, my xbox controller (as if breaking my xbox wasnt enough she had to take the controller) plus a ton of other little things.

So my aunt shows up and starts yelling at me?!?! WTF? I didnt do anything.

Lets sum this up real quick:
- me and gf have fight
- sick of her ****, i tell her to get out
- we continue to fight as she packs her ****
- gf breaks xbox in driveway
- i call police

My aunt says im a horrible person for calling the cops and i shouldnt press charges etc. WTF bitch broke my xbox. So not only is my aunt yelling at me, the cops are telling me to shut up when i tell them my gf was walking out with my stuff, in plain sight.

God i hate cops... i hate people... i hate woman... i pretty much hate everyone right now.

Ok don't kill yourself.

In all seriousness, press charges, **** your aunt. Post a pic of her(ex gf) so we know to stay away from her.

The best part is ... the dumb bitch told the cops she smashed the xbox, so they have that in her report.

Also about 90% of her stuff is still here. If she wants any of it back i want my $300 plus my watch and my photo.... dumb whore.

So i guess my question is.... was i wrong in calling the cops?

I honestly think that you're in the right. She caused damage to your property, threw a screwdriver at you, which is technically almost battery. If the situation had been reversed, you'd have been in cuffs and in the back of their car.

Stop dating Levittown chicks, they are all crazy. Matter of fact, stay clear of Lower Bucks altogether.

No, I don't think you're wrong and kudos for calling the cops. Honestly, she sounds like she needs her ass kicked. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it's okay to beat on women, however there is a line drawn in the sand that shouldn't be crossed. Besides, women want all these equal rights, correct? Well guess what, if a man were to grab another man's Xbox and smash it in front of his face, I can assure you he would catch a beatdown, so why should women be exempt?

Why was your aunt there? I would have told the cops to remove her from your property too, she should mind her own business.

Yeah, it sounds like she is at fault more then you. You did the right thing in calling the police. What ever township you are in, they just suck and don't know how to handle situations like that.

ILLJIM69 09-11-2009 07:13 PM

Man, I still can't get over how you didn't lose your cool. One time my wife and I got into it, she was drunk and decided to smoke a cigarette (she isn't a smoker). Anyways, she doesn't drink often, so I kept an eye on her while she was outside since it was 3am, just to make sure she didn't do anything nuts. Well she comes walking back up to the front door, stops, looks at my car and puts the cigarette out on my hood. I almost lost my mind.

Women are cunning and blood thirsty. They don't use logic in their thought process, however they do know how to push a man's buttons very well and they often attack what guys love most. This is why chicks are always keying up cars, breaking Xboxs, pushing over motorcycles, etc. We need to bring back the "rule of thumb".

From what I understand from your side of the story I think you did the right thing. And if she decides to not buy you another 360 tell her you'll press charges. Then go to the Garbage Bin on TST and post some naked pics of Crazy B!tch..

I guess I'll be the first woman to say something:

Calling the cops in this situation was completely appropriate. She was damaging your property and was throwing objects that could have hurt you. Technically you can accuse her of assault (which is an attempt to commit a battery, or attempt to touch someone in a hurtful or offensive way), as well as damage to property (but that would be a civil dispute, its up to the cops as to what she's charged with criminally). Had you not called the cops you don't know how far the fight could have escaladed or what she could have done next.

Good save. I thought I had that backwards.

DC2-Chris 09-11-2009 07:56 PM

i agree with what everyone else has said that is messed up i think you handled the situation well by not trying to take matters into your own hands. Lonely 09 is right you dont know what could have happened next

lownslow95 09-11-2009 08:00 PM

Yeah, dude, just be glad your alive, and not sitting somewhere in a hospital.

You absolutely did the right thing by calling the cops. But I'm at a total loss as to why they just stood there and allowed her to have free run of your house while collecting 'her' things. Can you call their supervisor and file a complaint? Because that's ridiculous. Did they even ask you if you wanted to file charges? Anything about the broken X-Box? Anything AT ALL?

A lot of credit to you for keeping a level head. IMO, anyone that resorts to violence is an idiot -- either you aren't smart enough to work things out with words, or you have no control over your own temper. The one exception to that is self-defense.

Oh, and tell your aunt that her opinion is neither welcomed nor needed.

3rdGenMr2Girl 09-11-2009 10:51 PM

see this is just ridiculous. for some odd reason, police seem to think that the women are never in the wrong. if you would have been the one breaking s**t and throwing things at her, you would be arrested. a guy friend of mine had a very similar thing happen to him, and they treated it as if he provoked it. i would call the police station and file a complaint against the officers who handled it. i would also press charges against her.

Username 09-11-2009 11:03 PM

well the cops said that they put the xbox being smashed in there report. also, they pretty much treated me like i was in the wrong. i even asked them why she was in there alone and why i was the one being forced to "stay put" and "not move" .... rediculous.

I kept my cool because im not one to hit a woman... no matter what.

She still has a ton of stuff here and she isnt getting it back until i get my $300 bucks for my xbox.

3rdGenMr2Girl 09-11-2009 11:10 PM

good, don't give her stuff back. crazy bitches ftl.

P_856 09-11-2009 11:30 PM

you did the right thing man, she sounds crazy, hopefully you get everything back and money for a new 360

Username 09-11-2009 11:34 PM
