mayor destroys race track
 

this is how a mayor makes his money in puerto rico. he taxed and fine this race track out of business. so he can pocket money from a developer to build a golf course. he even made sure a local millionare reggaeton artist don omar lost his bid to redevelope it. this track had one of the longest run off if you lost control or your brakes. it even help stop local street racing bring vehicular death down. this is one of the places where the puerto rican drifters practice. for drag racing guy this track was even with the sea level. it was gonna become a mecca for motorsports but the local goverment just wanted a golf course like there isn't like 10 more in the island

thats horrible, I would be tempted to do donuts on their golf course greens, but I guess that wouldn't be the right thing to do :)

i dont see how this puerto rico news matters here in the northeast but it sucks for those guys i guess... bonus to the mayor for being business savy hahaha

just shows he don't care about saveing lives, he just wants more money

true it doesn't effect us in no way. it just shows you how the people we elect could care less about preventing illegal activities at night. this is exactly whats going on in the south west with the closing of so many tracks. throw some money the politicians way and have a track closed. just to make over priced ****y homes for people that cant afford them.

i beleive this was going to happen to atco a couple years back. but the track owners stood there ground.

this is happening everywhere PR just is one of them. more and more tracks are closing because costs are rising.

sucks for local PR people that used to go to that track and wanted to keep it legal.
