CTS-V VS C6 Vette
If you had the choice between an 05-06 Cadilliac CTS-V or an 06-07 C6 Vette what would you choose and why? now of course they are 2 completely different cars, but in my eyes its an equal toss up. The vette most people would pick because its a new vette, and the work that can be done to it is endless. But on the flip side its also a 2 seater. the cts-v which is packing the ls6 5.7L pushin 400 to the crank can also carry around 3 of your buddys and some grossories but also weighs in at 3800 pounds. no doubt the vette would be quicker in the quarter mile, but you aslo have to factor in that the V is a 4 door. I have been going back and forth between the 2 for some time now, and would like to hear some oppinions on both. pro's, con's experience with either would be great.
the 2 exact modles i would be getting would be as follows 06-07 Black, white, or silver c6 ls2 6 speed targa top 05-06 Black Cadilliac CTS-V ls6 6 speed |
I'd love a targa-top Vette, but for the sheer fact that they're a dime a dozen, I'd take the V, it's baller-ass status, and the extra bitches that fit inside.

CTS-V.

Id first put threads in the right place, then id buy a vette. Im all about performance though, and I dont have friends without cars. Vettes are sexy, fast, incredible handeling, baller, and more eye-catching.

both are baller status...but a 4 door with 400 stock HP in a f-in cadilliac? what could be better |
it depends on if this would be my only car
if this had to be my only car...I'd go with the Caddy for the extra seats and trunk space if this were a 2nd car...I wouldn't hesitate to get the Vette...it's more than comfortable to daily drive and take on long trips...the downside is lack of cargo/people space |
CTS-V for the fact that it's more convenient, it's fast, it's sexy, it was in the Matrix trilogy, it's the best handling sedan in the world, etc etc etc etc.
|
that was a regular CTS in the Matrix

Pick the vette. It will be much faster, retain its value better, and is basically an exotic car. Especially if you have never owned a convertibe, or driven a vette...Pick the vette. There is nothing like the feeling you get with the top down/off in a vette on the freeway. It is like eutopia.
Although vettes can be daily driven easily, they are terrible in any sort of weather. Take it form me, I crashed my c5 convertible going 70 in rain. You must be careful. Both the CTS-V and Corvette respond to mods really well which is nice. The CTS-V is sick, but if one has the means to drive a vette...your a boss. |
This is rough, kinda figured itd be split down the middle..hahah
i was on a vette kick for a while, i want a vette, im getting a vette, no doubt. and i was looking into cts-v's a while back and kinda forgot about them. now that the time is getting closer im starting to rethink what exactly i want. I already have a 2 door, and the back seats are basically useless, so the extra space would be nice. But then i am also looking at the fact that its a vette, i could make it extreamily sick, and quick as hell, but taking a trip down the shore with a few of my boys/girls aint happenin. With the V i can do that, and still have 400 horse to back me up on the freeway for some toying around. i dont think theres anything better then that. |

cts-v / thread although if it was a z06 i'd have to think long and hard, and then take the z06  |
i love the V. it would be an easy choice for me since i have a family. but then ive never really been a vette guy, unless it was a stingray or something.

Since it's not the 08+ CTS-V, I am against it. The C6 vette is faster than the pre-08 CTS-V, and it doesn't have the same rear diff and axle problems as the CTS-V does. If it were an 08+, game over. Get the Vette.

Don't be a fag, get both

cts: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?ma...llac&model=cts 3 pages of cts...24 pages of vette |

in that case I'd probably take the c6 over the 400hp cts-v... |
The new CTS-V will beat a new C6 corvette but not by much. I'd have to take the Vette in this conversation though
