Anyone ever do the Bertil roos racing school or the stock car racing experience

I saw this article in the pocono record about racing at Pocono Raceway and wondered if anyone has participated in one of them and if its worth the cost?

Got Insulin? 07-31-2009 02:20 PM

For my 21st birthday, my parents got me the one at Poccono Speedway, and I'm slotted to head over there at the end of August. I'll report back then. I can only guess that it's going to be freakin' awesome, even though I'm not into NASCAR, it's still a 600HP race car that they personalize for you.

We got my father the nascar experience for his retirement. He still talks about it over a year later. It was well worth the $500 we spent for it.

My Birthday Present

I did the 1/2 day in the Formula 2000 car and it was AMAZING. You learn SO much from the class before you go out on the track, and the track time goes really slow... or at least it did for me. You're on the track for 40 mins total (2 sessions) but it honestly felt like a lot longer. It's defiantly worth the money and it's SO much fun. Doing the Forumla 2000 car made me want to take the Street Car/Day that Bertil offers because I'd love to drive my MR2 on the track and actually learn in MY car from an instructor. Honestly, I would recommend the Formula 2000 class over the stock car because doing 90 in a go-kart that STICKS to the track, is amazing. The only thing I had trouble with was the non syncro'd gear box... double clutchin and revvin just didn't come naturally when I was there lol.

Yeah I was thinking of doing the 1/2 day to see if I liked it and if I did to save up to do the Street/Day car with my own car.
