I have to agree with everyone else. Why give up full frame for 1DII? Thats kinda like selling the D700 for a D2x for us Nikon people. You could just go buy a D200 get the same sensor. Not sure what sensor the 1DII has in it but I'm sure its used in some other prosumer Canon body.

I woulda stuck with the 5D... thats a cool ass little camera.

The 1DII I think has a 1.3x crop factor, and I'm pretty sure the other Canon bodies that aren't full frame are 1.6x. That's if he got the 8.2MP 8.5fps 1D.

^ word, so canon used that sensor in the 1DII only? And that must be his reasoning, I was talking to him a while back about how my D700 gets 8FPS.
