Listen to Police Scanners Online

In an attempt to have steaming police scanning on my phone I found this site.

I've been listening to Bucks County for the majority of this week.

Pretty cool!

Edit: The radios sometimes go silent for minutes at a time. Not sure if the radios are actually silent or it's just how the data is put on to Radio Reference. Just give a listen and wait, you'll hear some good stuff.

So far I've heard.
16 y/o white male missing, possibly suicidal.
80 y/o woman feel, broke her hip, right leg numb.
40 y/o white male, cardiac arrest.
Kids pranked police radio.
16 y/o white male found during traffic stop
Motorist picked up injured dog from side of road.
Helicopter in route to hospital, 30 minutes of fuel left.
Man called and reported his house had been burglarized sometime within the last two hours.

Scanners are cheaper than 500 bucks, go to radio shack they have em for like 250 bucks. Ha but growing up around a firehouse where radio with Fire/EMS/Police always going, it doesnt entertain me like it used to.

Fireman 07-07-2009 03:15 PM

I also have links somewhere at home for Philly, Montco, Berks, Lehigh, and some NJ counties too. Ill put em up when i get back.

Jeffros Spec V 07-07-2009 03:25 PM

I thought the general idea was that they all changed to digital and a digital scanner was atleast $500.0

Fireman, please post up the links.

Dude just got busted stealing from Walmart. He's in custody in route to police station!

Bane 07-07-2009 04:22 PM

That and the program that you can download fromt he app store is just county dispatch, all our individual tac channels are where we talk to each other.

If you don't know what your listening to it usually goes department radio code, unit designation, unit number

Example

32Paul4

32 is Upper Uwchlan Township
Paul is the radio designation for Patrolman
4 is the Patrolmans number

Sam = Sergeant
Paul = Partoman
David = Detective
Xray = Motorcycle unit

crazyduckme 07-07-2009 04:24 PM

Thanks, that actually helps a lot! :)
