Anyone who bought a Subaru after 2004 jumped onto the bandwagon.
Unless your are someone who had a Lancer, WRX, Evolution, and then a WRX wagon....then your a bandwagon hopper. :finga: |

Edit i am not trying to be mean here but people read this and think you are being serious and thats not cool. Just because someone bought a car after a certain yera doesn't mean anything. |
Bugeye imprezas > 04/05/06 imprezas
Although I am a little biased. |

I don't know why, a worked bugeye just looks better to me than an '04+. Give a bugeye EDM projectors and a front mount and it looks mean as hell. But that's off topic, the WRX's are everywhere! Just remember to wave. |
The wave is dead, long live the wave.

The WRX came out in 2002. During that time very few people knew about its existance. They have either seen before when in a few european-base magazines and television. After a few months the WRX came to the main stream import community. Many people weren't fans of the "bugeye" Impreza so it wasn't bought. Late 2003/2004 came the front facsia change. This is when more people started to buy it. And when Mitsubishi brought the Evolution VIII to the US. This prompted Subaru to release the STi over here. Unfortunately I don't have a sales demographics to aide this. It was around these times (late 2004 - early 2005) that I personally began to see a growth in local area WRXs. Now the WRX, STi, and Evolution are all "metoo" cars. |

xEJ20x,
I think the "bandwagoners" are the minority of Impreza owners. Bill |
Hmmm did I jump on the bandwagon? I first saw the WRX in races years ago. For the past 3 years I have gone to the Philly auto show and paid 20 bucks just to sit in the dam WRX. Well after 3 years of wanting and waiting I finally had enough money to get one. Well I did fall in love with the orginal square shaped head lights then they switched to the bug eye and now the new design. So I decided to get a newer one cause I need somethng reliable to get me back and forth and counldnt mess around with something older. So does this make me a bandwagon person cause I bought a 05?

Without the bugeye WRX, it would be unlikely that we would have the Evo, and we certainly wouldn't have the STi. The bugeye was DEFINITELY bought, and there was a HUGE buzz about it in every car magazine before it even came to our shores. It's success is why we have all the wonderful "me too" cars like the Evo and STi. Don't act like you're upset about it. And lots of people, like me, couldn't afford one until it depreciated a few years. If there are any bandwagon jumpers, it's anyone who got into Subaru's after the WRX was to be released in the US. People have been doing STi swaps into Imprezas for a while now, anyone with a WRX is a poser. :-p |
there is nothing wrong with seeing alot of subies. It just means that its a car which people are interested in, must mean its a good car when you see more than 1 in a days time.
