Preregistration is a huge help to the event organizers and you don't have to prepay, https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/cale...curyearindex=3

It's free to spectate as well so even if your car isn't ready for this much fun, come on out and check out some fast drivers doing their thing, hell if you want you can even come for the ride of your life in the Cobra :)

Mike DeFlorio is usually pretty quick in his HS hatch.

armyguy6566 06-10-2009 09:12 AM

i wish my car was fast enough for this.

IMPREZvWRX 06-10-2009 09:32 AM

Does it move without being pushed?

phate1229 06-10-2009 09:34 AM

might make it out in the mr2, assuming it's still running by then.

There's no such thing as a car that's too slow for this, autocross has very little to do with engine power or the car itself and everything to do with driver skill. A good driver can jump in literally any car and lay down very respectable times, hell one of my fellow instructors at these events rocks an 80 horsepower 4,000+ pound Volvo station wagon and ends up running times that are faster than half the people that show up.

doug 06-10-2009 09:41 AM

hmm, i may have to try out my fresh falken azenis at this..

jcr557 06-10-2009 10:22 AM

i know that volvo also!! he should be in a diff class lol. but yea like he said, no car is slow. 5% car 95% driver.

By the way, it's a good idea to pre register even if you're not 100% sure you'll be out. That way, you're in the computer and you'll have an idea of your class and car number. You pay your entrance fee on site, and the extra $15 for non-members is put towards your membership if you decide to join.

I'd have to drive it around the track on a trailer.

R33E8 06-10-2009 11:50 PM

I donno... I'm a pretty sucky driver and I'm usually at most only a couple seconds behind the fastest time of the day..

3rdGenMr2Girl 06-11-2009 12:21 AM

i'll have to bring the mr2 out to this, for sure. i need to get my ass out to an auto x.

IMPREZvWRX 06-11-2009 12:29 AM

Just registered a stock '00 Civic sedan. Automatic. No excuses...just get out there and have fun!

dres2k 06-11-2009 01:18 AM

may do this one...got my alignment and corner balancing done finally so I don't have any excuses lol

edit: trying to register, but it's asking me for my car and what class i'm in....I've got an s2000 with coilovers, intake, exhaust as performance mods, so what do you think Ciotti? there's a pulldown list with a million options : (
