One from a new lens..

Sadly my 135L is gone, HOWEVER, I have replaced it with a pretty good piece of glass. 100/2 @ f2. whatya think?

grimm 05-28-2009 02:07 PM

i concur, it is nice. why swapping lenses? just to save some money?

97TurboDSM 05-28-2009 02:12 PM

yea for the most part. i'm looking to pick up a 200/2.8L soon though.

I like the second one, kitty looks pissed. The lens is a great speed/length combo & addition to the rest of your kit. Add a tele zoom and youre set.

I wish there was a Nikon equivalent - the 105/2 is too expensive, 85/1.8 is a little short and both are screw-driven. You definitely have some green fringing in the second shot but for that price I wouldn't care.

97TurboDSM 05-28-2009 03:36 PM

yea theres some fringing at super contrasty spots which in all fairness the 135L had too so i'm not going to worry about it one bit. the next lens is either the 200/2.8L or 70-200/4L

and yes, i woke the cat up and he wasnt too happy to see me haha

i can take my reply back...

I just saw your post on POTN.. Why so quick? I'm thinking about picking a used one for $320 with a lens hood included... It has a piece of lint in the glass which kinda bothers me..

97TurboDSM 05-31-2009 06:31 PM

Not sure. I go through lenses like whoa. Every time i see shots from that damn macro lens, i want it.
