Transfer of Expired License
 

My buddy has a NY license that expired the day he went to the PA DMV to get it renewed. They told him they had to contact Harrisburg and that he would get a letter in 2 weeks that would entitle him to get his PA license.

The question is what should he do for that 2 weeks? I know that he waited till the last minute, but he is worried about getting in trouble for driving. Any advice? The DMV guy told him there is nothing else he could do.

Not to much he can do without a valid PA license, if its fresh out and he explains his situation he shouldn't get jammed up but if its a month out thats pushing is so have him get his paperwork dealt with asap.

Thanks for the response. I told him that he shouldn't draw attention to himself in the mean time, and he should be fine. We'll see how that works out.
