Going to Vegas - Who's been there?

Well my life is a lot different than most 21 year olds. I work my ass off and save my money. You know the saying work hard, play hard. I turn 21 on June 25th and I just booked a trip to vegas for a week. I already have a couple things planned like this http://www.viator.com/tours/Las-Vega.../d684-2136RAFT - This trip includes white water rafting through the grand canyon, off roading in a hummer, hoover dam, helicopter ride over the strip and a night at the grand canyon. Also renting a ferrari 360 spider http://www.dreamcarrentals.com/cars-ferrari360.php.

So anyone that has been there - where are the places I need to go??? Also where should I not go, I heard its pretty easy to get jacked there

it's only easy to get jacked in vegas if you stray from the main strip, at least that's what I've heard.

I spent about a day and a half there with a friend, it's a crazy city, we didn't even do much gambling when we were there because there's just so much stuff to walk around and check out.

Been out there a half dozen times.

Check out Ghost bar and Playboy/Moon club at the Palms. I thought I was going to have an epileptic seizure in Moon last time I was out there... it was a rather intense setting.

Tryst in the Wynn and Tao at the Venetian are also good. There are a number of other decent clubs spread throughout all of the strip resorts. If you're a fan of unique drinks, check out the Baccarat Lounge at the Bellagio. Be prepared to dish out $15 for a drink, but their signature menu is unbelievably good and the waitresses are stacked.

You might grab lunch at the Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Cafe. Decent Mexican food, hot waitstaff, and the Hard Rock is a good casino to gamble in (along w/ Hooters).

Also every Monday night.... "Rock Star Karaoke" at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. Basically its Karaoke with a full rock band backing. It was a blast a few years back.

Best advice I could give you is pace yourself. Doing everything in moderation will yield a much better result than passing out 4 or 5 hours into each night. Daytime is pretty uneventful... hang by the pool, maybe do a little shopping. It's on when the sun goes down until the sun comes up.

I was with my dad and stepmom and im not 21 so I didnt party but I will be going back to.

everytime i went it was for work- i went three times in my life- twice staying at mandalay bay and once at luxor
go to the rock star karaoke- its fun

DON'T do moderation! one time i slept for 2-3 hours every night for a week straight and by the end i was delusional and thought i was going to die. It was worth it anyways :)

say hi to mark and nicole at the poker room in mandalay bay!

been there, it kind of sucks... but gamble your money, get belligerently drunk, screw some hookers, do some blow, hit up a club, go shoot some guns, wake come home with no sleep and a hangover that lasts 3 days. :) thats vegas

We are singing the same tune. I'm just saying its a marathon and not a race. The last week-long trip to Vegas for work I got a total of 9 hours of sleep over 5 days. I was a zombie for about 3 days afterward, but zero hangovers while I was there and I was pretty much intoxicated straight through.

If you plan on drinking a lot I would pregame with bottles bought from the convenience store in the hotel. Also if you are bringing a girl friend, the dueling pianos in the new york, new york casino is pretty cool and a good time to drink and sing along to some music. Other then that just wrap ur tool.

No girl, I will most definatly be wrapping my tool. I Can't wait to beat the **** out of that ferrari

igo4bmx 05-20-2009 09:59 PM

oh yeah
go one block off the strip and alcohol is reasonable
on the strip they double the prices

Soda Popinski 05-20-2009 10:11 PM

I stayed 2.5 miles off the strip on the same ROAD as the strip (S. LAs Vegas BLVD, less than 10 minutes from the Mandalay Bay) at the cancoon resort, cost me less than 250 for the ****ing week. Buy your food for the hotel or wherever from a grocery store don south las vegas blvd. I went to food 4 less, it was like wholesale prices.

especially for water, you have no idea how much you'll go through.

definately preload at home for food or booze before you go out, even cruising the strip you can do drunk it's just one long straight road. Otherwise you're in for spending waaaaay too much on booze.

pinacup7 05-20-2009 10:14 PM

Its one week out of the year. I'm really not concerned about the money, and I don't really gamble....

yet

ho1ywars 05-20-2009 10:20 PM

dude make sure you the hit booze slushies, they are everywhere and awesome. oh and if your trying to get wrecked i also advise you pregame it too. ****s expensive there.
