My iguana died :(

My iguana died today and he was so awesome. I'm devastated over this iguana . Has anyone else been really upset over the loss of a pet?

DPancoast 05-18-2009 03:32 PM

I hate it when pets die. Even when it's not mine =[

sorry to hear about your iguana Jamie... when I was there he (?) was awesome!

My friends GF's Iguana died, she cried for about a week(maybe more or less), and still gets kinda upset about it.

i had a cat since i was 2. we eventually had to put him down 3 years ago & then 3 months later, my other cat passed away from cancer. It's been rough but i know they aren't hurting anymore. Each year, it hurts a little less

i'm severly allergic to cats but i had one when i lived at home. his name was french fry and my parents had him for a year before i was born. he lived until i was 17, so he was 18 years old. we had to put him down and it was horrible.

i have a dog, a hamster, two oscar fish, a goldfish, and beta fish, and two pacman frogs at my apartment but the iguana was one of my favorites. i build him a 6 foot cage with real tree branches. he used to like to lay on my bed under the lamp.

It's gonna be rough on me and my daughter when my dog dies. He's 10 and she's 9 and a half so she'll be a teen when he passes. :( SOrry to hear....

3rdGenMr2Girl 05-18-2009 09:29 PM

Thanks guys. And yeah, he was like my own little dinasour. I'm getting another one in the next few days but I doubt it'll be as cool as mine was.

sorry for your loss. i had a cat that died when i was 20 and we got it when i was 1. yea 19 years old and we had to put her to sleep. It was one of the saddest experiences ever for me and my family. Even sadder than some of the family members funerals.

BlkWhtTSI 05-18-2009 09:40 PM

sorry for your lose i always wanted a reptile of some sort... parents would never allow it though.

losing an animal is like losing a child, especially when you play with it and take care of it everyday. it's really hard. i love having animals but i get so upset when they die.

BeautifullyBlued 05-18-2009 10:00 PM

I don't see the picture :(
I've always wanted an iguana or a lizard of some sort.
Sorry to hear.

Scapegoat 05-18-2009 10:05 PM

sorry to hear. it is always upsetting to lose a pet.

i'm somewhat indifferent to it now though...

lost my dog when he was 6 to kidney failure and a blood clot. parents had a 4k bill after his two week stay in the vet hospital... would have been higher if he didn't get the clot .

few year later our other dog died at 8, forget exactly what happened.

then our 3 year old corgi had to be put down because his epilepsy was getting worse and worse...

found my child hood cat under the couch dead one morning... my mom's cousin was living in the house at the time and all she said was "i heard him crying" but you did nothing... thanks bitch

after those, i can't say it doesn't affect me but it doesn't affect me as much.

it sucks, but it's life

vet bills are crazy. my parents spent 6k trying to save one of our cats who had cancer. corgis are adorable, my friend had 3 of them.
and some bitch didn't help your cat?? she should be shot.
