Sarge/Bane: Info on VIN Etching?
 

Hey guys,

Schnecksville Fire Co. is offering free vin ecthing on cars this sunday 7-9pm...what do they do with this? I heard it goes on all the windows and sunroofs...but do they ruin tint if you have it on all the windows? Also what does it look like on the windows, big, small, etc, noticeable? Any info or help would be great! Let me know because i'm thinking about taking my STi & Jetta down there.

They put a stencil with the VIN on the window and put a substance on the stecil that desolves some of the glass. They do it on the outside of the window so tint isnt effected. You cant really see it unless your up close to the car.
