Oakes - Detailed: 1994 Toyota Supra - Troll

This is a photographic journal of my 14 hour detail of Troll's 1994 Toyota Supra, there are a multitude of pics to show the difference in the vehicle when it showed up and when it left (at 2am ) I am very thankful for the help of Chaos on this project as well. On to the pics, I will try to be as descriptive as possible but they are pretty self explanatory.

Products used for the paint correction:
Menzerna Intensive Polish
Menzerna Final Polish
Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze
Collinite's No. 845 Insulator wax
Optimum Opti-Seal
All used on a Porter Cable rotary and a Cyclo dual head with orange, green and white pads.

Here are the before pictures of the car:

Clay Barring the car

These pictures are after the wash and Clay of the whole vehicle, note the reflections showing the sractched and hazed look of the paint

Polishing the wheels
http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k...l/DSC_9181.jpg

Now for the polishing results of the car, starting with the wing. Notice the specks and imperfections on the arch of the wing and the end result following

Buffing underway

Now for everyone's favorite, the 50/50 shots. These pictures will show the difference between the taped off sections that were polished in contrast the non-polished sections. See the difference for yourselves! Also, keep in mind that these pics were taken immediately after the first polishing step, still to be followed by three more steps before finishing!

Yes it does, but the clay bar step was about....1/8th of the process

Well, that's what happens to paint when it's left out side and not cared for properly. However, now that it's in Troll's hands it's ball sucking days are over, let me know if you want your car done

I wonder what you could do with my car. It would show what you can do with a car that SCREAMS it needs a detail. Black car just like this with probably 4x the damage

Car looks great btw

Oakes 04-14-2009 12:16 AM

I'd take in your car kev, but it has to have all the clearcoat  Thanks dood

wheresmycar 04-14-2009 12:17 AM
