Thunderbolt gets approval.
 

Just saw on the news that Thunderbolt Raceway in Millville, NJ has gotten approval to build.

Ok so what kind of Raceway is this? Sorry this is the first I've heard of this.

I heard it was in the works......pretty cool.

It will be a 3.98 mile road course with a kart track and .75 mile paved oval. There will be multiple configurations as well as a test pad/auto-x area. As far as I can tell since they took down the track map of the original plan, there will still be three sections of road course (north, central, south) and multiple track lengths by using 1, 2 or 3 parts. There is also the possibility of using the north and south sections simultaneously.

Yeah, I just posted this up because it is a major step in getting a real track in NJ. I was happy to hear about the approval. I can see myself as a track whore.

There was a planning board meeting last night that I wanted to attend, but I couldn't. I believe that meeting was the final approval as far as Millville is concerned, and they can get the permits to start now.

niiiiiicccce, i also can see myself becoming a regular over there if things go as planned.
