A trip down memory lane for me...

Well while I love my Vette and life is good, I still miss the old days of being the local "probe guy"... that's where "Fazda" comes from. The V6 engines powering these cars were produced by Mazda in a Ford Chassis

I've been working on a hardcore probe project (ill show you guys that when its finished next week) this week and it sparked memories of my old cars...

so in no particular order:

The infamous 97 Gts-Turbo (I still own this car, its in pieces but here)

My Klze powered 93' GT... long gone

My nearly stock 95 gt...remember that project i mentioned earlier? you'll see this car again...

My most recent probe, 96' se on Ksports... (My roommates daily driver now)

The gts will see the road again in a few months, and the project I'm finishing up soon will be impressive to say the least....

I've heard that your first car becomes your true passion as you get older. While the probe wasn't my first it was the first car I even did anything to, and I'll admit that I'll be stuck on them forever.

There were a few others along the way, these four were my favorites... and I miss the boosted gts on a daily basis.

enjoy-
Jason

Always like probes, I had a 93 GT myself. It was not nearly as nice as any of your though but it did have 57k miles on it.

I know what you mean about your first car becomes your true passion. My tC wasn't my first car but it was the first car I've put enough blood and sweat into that makes me realize that I've become attach to.

My mx6 was my first car. It now has over 17k into it.

Are you a member on mx6.com?

I've never seen them in that green color. (but then again I dont really look at probes too much...lol)

Vypurr 01-15-2009 10:41 AM

I guess I will never be into my first car. The Taurus just has no hope.

Yea I think I'll forever be hooked on Escorts. I'm itching to boost this Mazda BP some day soon. Or maybe I'll pick up another sedan with the ford 1.9 and klze it.....

Always wanted a 1st gen probe turbo though.

93EGY8 01-15-2009 04:53 PM

ehh..my ex had a first gen probe non turbo..i hated that car.. i dont think there anything like the second gens

downsmustang 01-15-2009 06:16 PM

I can't wait to see the new project when its done. I don't think I've see that many clean probes in a long time.

Kouki Crisp 01-16-2009 12:45 AM

Clean whip. keep it up.

i_ride_fieroGT 01-16-2009 04:07 AM

my buddy had one of the 1st gen N/A probes dident the 4 cylinder in them if it wasent a tired motor run like mid-high 14's?

FazdaGt 01-17-2009 03:14 PM

with some work you can get a second gen v6 into the 14's... mine ran 13's boosted on a poor clutch, with a bit of tuning and a good clutch you can get into the 12's easily.

the first gen 4cyl turbo cars have some potential, but without a dohc swap it's hard to make a "fast car"

any N/A 4cyl powered probes are extremely slow

Jason i am still in love with the GTS. Ever wanna sell it hit me up i got DIBS.
