Whats your next car?

recently ive been thinking about what my next car will be after the rx8 and ive seen my taste in cars really change. So i was wondering what other peoples next car will be. we all think about it so i wanna see some ideas.

jokes aside, realistically, what are you planning on buying next and for what reasons?

I'd really like to get a truck, just to keep the miles down on the DSM, and for more practical reasons. Preferrably something older, and carb'd. Thinking about swapping a 350 into a s10 that my buddy had lying around.

Project wise, I'd really like to get a Miata will some type of v-8 in, mostly for autocross and limited summertime street use. And the only way I'd get rid of the DSM would be to pick up a clean 2G Talon or GVR4, so that's doubtful.

What are you thinkin' about, NOSTOPNS?

I'll never sell my STi, but I'll probably add a C5 Z06 to the fleet in the future.

Mk4 Supra in a few months :)

ndubz 01-12-2009 02:28 AM

Im thinkin i'll eventualy wind up with 2 cars. One car as a fun performance car, and one car as a practical DD. Right now, my STi is both, but it will probly become the former. My next car will probly be a cheap reliable, yet sort of nice car to use as a DD. Then for my next performance car, well alot depends on my financial situation. As for my sti, i may not sell it at all, ever. But for my next performance car, if im in a good situation id like to get (all used) one of these...BMW E92 M3, Lotus Esprit V8, Porsche 996 turbo, Nissan 370 Z, others in that range.

As for the DD, im thinkin like an 03-07 Accord 4cyl, a Nissan Altima, Jetta, used lexus, etc. something kinda nice, but cheap/ practical.

i have 3 in mind. im leaning toward a new mustang. ive always been a ford guy and just like the way they look over most other new cars. i was thinking new challenger, but im still undecided about that one. but its pretty much between the stang or an SRT8 grand cherokee. i love the SRT and a decent 06 or 07 should be in my price range by the time im actually ready to buy. now to the third...............if a decent turbo diesel f250 shows up at the right price im jumping right on it. i want something that i can throw stacks on SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!!!

CleanNeon98 01-12-2009 02:48 AM

Jeep wrangler soon for a DD
BMW 5-series later down the line for a DD
at that point
MSM will be a weekend car
Wrangler will be built for mud duty
May buy another Miata (NA body) to build specifically for racing.

crazyukrainian 01-12-2009 03:18 AM

rdx.... perfect daily driver for my needs

cobaltpsi 01-12-2009 03:21 AM

evo x

frosti108 01-12-2009 03:27 AM

I really honestly couldn't say. I have enough interesting cars to last me for a long time as it is...

My best guess would be just another cheap nissan, either s or z chassis. Possibly another pickup.

Reason being... They are tried and true for me, I know them pretty well by now. I definatly like them, and i seem to find them stupid cheap once in a while. (probably not anymore)

Seriously though, I will have nothing new for a long time.

An FC... I need to add another somewhat unreliable car to my collection on top of my 240... That way I can minimize my chances of having no transportation...

Yeah, that would do it...

TurboTagTeam 01-12-2009 04:36 AM

I'm getting a cheap daily D soon. Like a 96-00 civic. But I'm not counting that.

My next big car purchase will probably be a Porsche 996 TT when I'm out of school.

lownslow95 01-12-2009 08:14 AM

When my parents house is finished soon, I would like to find an STi or an EVO, and work on that. I may keep the Ranger, and swap it for a 302. I may also decide to get rid of it and get some kind of 4x4, prefer to get a Chevy, because there are a few Chevy dealers in the DE/MD area for service, so I'll see when money starts coming in and I'm out of college. Right now, continue working on the Ranger, and thats that. I may also consider a Wrangler, since there are a few good places to go mudding, nothing to extreme though.

I just want a turbo DD. =) pm if you know of a legit one under 3k.

Join the darkside :)

Once you drive one.... :mrgreen::bigeek::cool:

Oh for me, I'd like to add an R33 GTR

pinacup7 01-12-2009 09:07 AM

Lexus GX470 as soon as the motor goes in my car

SkinnyGT 01-12-2009 09:48 AM

MkIV Supra TT 6-speed
99-02 Camaro or Trans Am 6-speed

One of those two will be purchased soon. It's going to come down to a coin toss because I can buy a camaro and build an LS1 to handle boost for less than a stock supra. Then on the other hand, I've never seen a Supra anywhere around my area so it would be rather unique. decisions decisions...

MPowerKai 01-12-2009 09:48 AM

I've been tinkering with the idea of getting an Aston Martin db9 or a Ferrari 360 modena

Elliott18t 01-12-2009 10:13 AM

probably gonna go for a mk4 R32 :)
