The TST food thread! Post recipes, reviews, and just general food talk! nomnomnomnom

Alright so I'm always eating food. How I don't gain weight is news to me. But I figured there had to be some home cooks on here. Being a vegeterian myself and using a mom that cooks all the time, I've come up with some good stuff and am always trying new ingredients and recipes. So with that said, whatchu got TST?

Are you looking for just vegeterian recipes? I really like the idea of this thread, I'm always looking for new dinners to make. :)

Here is a quick one that I love. Craker Cookies. Heaven in cookie form.

Ingredients:
1-2 sleeves of Saltine Crakers
1 c. Sugar
1 c. Butter (must be butter)
1 bag Mini Chocolate Chips (you can use reg. choco. chips, but the mini's melt easier.)

-Preheat the oven to 350*. Cover baking sheet with tin foil and spray with cooking spray (I always forget to spray the foil and it's a pia). Lay the saltines out flat along the sheet.
-Melt butter in a pot. Once its all melted add the sugar. Keep mixing the sugar/butter mixture till it's combined. You must watch it carefully, because it will burn if you keep it on the heat too long. Once the mixture is done, spread it over the crakers with a spatuchla.
-Bake for 10-15 mins.
-After thats done baking, remove and cover the crakers with the chocolate chips. Spread them around with the spatchula, they will melt as you spread.
-When you're done, put the crakers in the fridge until the chocolate is hard.
-I usually break them by hand, but you can also cut them up.

I love trying new foods. My dad made this bangin' ass bread pudding with some kind of Italian cake/bread thing with like 8 eggs and like 3 cups of milk. It was also with a cinnamon sugar burbon sauce to go over it. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooo good.

Edit, here is where he got it from: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/g...ipe/index.html
