Ziptied.com

Just curious if anyone is on the Ziptied.com forum???
Anyone who doesn't know its the biggest drift forum on the Web and is an Invite only forum. Anyone??

240sxDann 01-02-2009 01:24 AM

I am not, are you? Can you invite me? I'd like to check it out and probably sign up if I can get a invite.

IdriveBad 01-02-2009 12:27 PM

I've heard of it, but I'm not too big into drifting. Would be cool to post now and then though, I'll have to check it out.

SlideWayzS13 01-02-2009 01:48 PM

Yea well its an invite only forum and you have submit and app and stuff pretty hard forum to get onto. Just wanted to see if anyone on here was on it

twastheglow 01-02-2009 01:54 PM

Nope. I've never been cool enough to get an invite. :( I've never even heard about it until now.

240sxDann 01-02-2009 10:34 PM

yea its way too intense for me.

omgjacki 01-03-2009 09:21 AM

I've gone on there a few times but apparently the forum you see if you aren't a member isn't even the actual forum. If I remember right, Reese is on there and he's the one who told me.

You do have to submit an application and it's up to the existing members to decide if you're worthy enough to join their forum. I'm starting to believe TST needs something like this.

Jjaeger240 01-03-2009 09:42 AM

My account got deleted a long time ago when they were doing housecleaning because they thought I was inactive since I never posted. I just use one of my friend's accounts now instead.

App process is currently closed.

I think there is only 3, maybe 4 other people from this site on there; Wiisaas, moorefire, Shawn@R/T.

omgjacki 01-03-2009 09:43 AM

As in they aren't accepting new members?

Jjaeger240 01-03-2009 09:45 AM

Not right now.

If we did that, do you think you would have made it onto the site?

Based on what? When I joined this site I didn't have a car or even a license but I was doing what I could to get both all while learning whatever I could. A site like this, yes, I believe with the attitude I had/have towards the scene I would still be here. However, Ziptied.com only admits people who actually do something with their cars rather than hard parking in the local Acme parking lot every week and hanging around on a forum for 8+ hours a day for Off Topic. If it were anything like Ziptied's registration process, no, I wouldn't be here because I have one track event and only a few Speed Lounge photos to show for it... but neither would 90% of the other people on this forum.

LOL at a invite only 240 forum called "ziptied". I'd never fit in there. My 240 has all matching body panels and my bumpers are neither hanging off or removed completly.

SlideWayzS13 01-03-2009 07:33 PM
