I read 215ek's post about the shootout and it made me wonder...
Police chases, shootouts, fights, funny****, whatever... what is some crazy **** you have seen cops do to subdue a suspect.

I'll get it all started...

I was driving back from my dads house in Connecticut last Thanksgiving and was just getting out of NYC and in to New Jersey when a black Cadillac Escalade flew past me going about a bucktwenty getting chased by 3 cop cars and then disappearing around a turn. Being the curious individual that I am I gunned it to see what would happen as I rounded the turn one of the cop cars was pulling up next to the Escalade and the next thing I know I see a quick flash and spray of black come from the passenger side of the cop car as the front tires exploded on the Escalade and the vehicle swerved off the road.

Thats all i got to see, but it was definately pretty sick. It took a couple seconds for everything to register in my head about what had really just happened but I called up everyone that would listen to tell the story.
It felt like it was straight from the movies.

In Cape May, NJ some guy killed his girlfriend and then hopped in his escalade. High speed pursuit into Wildwood where me and friends were staying. He was going like 100 in a 25 and the cops obviously couldn't do 100 since it was summer and many people on the street. Dude was scrapping at every intersection with sparks flying and stuff. He ends up crashing/running out of gas and tries to break into my other friends house to get keys to another car. They had no idea he just killed someone and stuff. He ends up on a neighbors roof and there is a stand off for like a couple hours. He requests a Coca Cola, drinks the coke and shoots himself dead. Happened in the summer of 2005 and I think TurboS60r (Kev) saw it too. I could have told the story better, but didn't feel like typing.

I saw the cops take the guy that broke into my car out into the woods to get my gym bag he stole. Then the cops beat the **** out of him in the woods with their maglights.....he could barely stand when they were done with him!

drug deals.

i was at a music festival two summers ago when i saw a guy that fighting with the po po and after like 2 mins of fighting they just decided to taser him it took all of a second for him to drop to the ground. Me and my friends where like damn i thought we where out of philly.

never witnessed anything, but i've heard a couple stories from my family who are/were on the force

i get alot of stories from my father being a cop, his latest/dumbest calls he had to go to number one being he recieved a call for theft discovered, he shows up to find out that a person had a pair of socks stolen out of the drier in the apt complex idk what that person was thinking when he/she dialed 911, the second was bout a month ago, another officer pulls over a car and my father is the assisting officer, the driver was suspened dui but there was another licensed driver in the vehicle and allows that person to drive the rest of the way, as the driver begins to pull away somehow the drivers foot gets caught betweens the gas and brake and the car goes across two lanes onto the sidewalk through a bush and into the side of a building right in front of them, long story short my old man had alot of paper work to do after that one

When I was maybe 3 to 5 years old, my dad had one of those station wagons with the back seat facing the back of the car. One day, I was in that seat, and we were headed north on PA 309, around the North Wales/Montgomeryville area. We were sitting at a red light, and I saw someone flying at us in a uHaul type truck, nearly rear ended us and swerved just in time. Ran the red light, and three police cars were chasing. Being so young and not realizing the danger, it was like the coolest thing ever. Kind of like those idiot scenes in movies, where some dumb stunt happens, and everyone is hyperventilating, except for the one idiot kid who yells, "cool, mom!"

after i got robbed they had the 3 guys in custody while i was upstairs giving my statement. they brought me their clothes to identify since they had masks on and i didnt see their faces. so the clothes were the first thing i id'd. and i dont know if anyones ever been robbed but your there a LONG time. so i started with my statement at 10pm and had to wait for my gf to make one too. so like 3am i say to the detective "hey, if thats theyre clothes, what are they wearing?" he gives me a look and smiles and says "who gives a ****." mind you this was early march and like 35 degrees. i have a lot of friends and family in law enforcement. you seriously would not believe the stories. my brother says hes gonna write a book when he retires.

Not something I personally saw but I thought it was funny enough to be shared. My ex coworker was a convicted robber and was busted for robbing a jewelry store back in the late 80's in North Philly. Basically he was in the jewelry store after hours and there was a domestic dispute next store. He was half way through grabbing everything when he saw the cop car pull up next store. He tried to bolt out the backdoor down the alley and there was a cop waiting at the neighbors house and he got 10 years for that.

Cop in my area (where NOTHING happens) decided to carry out the simple act of putting down a car struck deer not with her pistol, and not even with her shotgun, no, She decided the proper way to put the deer out of its misery was to empty an entire clip from her AR-15 assault rifle into the animal. This type of sh*t cant be made up LOL

jeez gotta stay away from escalade's seem's like there's alot of stories about them. lol

One time when i worked at this dinner in highstown i remember the avis car rental company next door calling the cops for some reason. I come to find out that one of his cars were stollen best part was the keys were somehow left in the car which was a mivi van. So im just chilling at work and all the sudden i hear all these cop cars sirens and i look out the window and theres the mini van flying threw traffic as cops try to catch them. that was the fun site to see never knew if he got the car back in one piece lol

One Time I am at work, back when I was working at Perrine, I was told to go get gas so as I am at the Gas station the Arab Gas station attendent is getting all excited screaming over the phone, and he's like searching around for another Arab dude, needless to say a Undercover cop car pulls up the Arab try's to run into the wood's at first I though it was a kid napping, the cops just tackle his ass, and throw him in the back of the car, I don't know what they were locking him up for but it was funny seeing the guy try to run away.

probally got busted for a drug deal or something lol

it looked nothing like a cop car, it was a dodge stratus with black tinted window's and the cop's were dressed casual, it was funny.

my town in a nice way is ghetto so i sadly seen enough crap.

1. guy running away from cops then climbing over a fence over a highway overpass and landing on the highway to continue running away.

2. a few cop chases just with random ppl

3. a shooting that lasted about 3 mins. shooter got wounded and arrested

4. guy with a machete tryin to kill some guy. a police squad comes and i see them tackle this guy to the ground. 5 cops pinning this dude to the ground

5. regular drug busts every now and then. (we have 7 dodge chargers brand new thanx to drug busts)

6. pullin me over for tints....over and over again lol

yeah well the goverment has been know to use dodge stratus before and useally when u see all tinited windows in a car like that its a cop lol

yea but it wasn't silver, or white it looked all beat up and ****.

yeah but still tinted windows on a car like that lol kinda werid and also they dont make dodge stratus anymore so its gonna be old and beat up haha
