Turbo Tek Tuning

Alright those who know me and/or talked to me about the car have an idea of whats done. I'm not going into detail here but the main things I want to mention are the Dom 4.0 with TurboTek Tune. Let just say we hit full boost by 4000RPM and pulled the whole way to redline. It still has a ton left in it and the car runs smoother than from the factory. One helluva tune and it was done quick. Took a little over an hour and we were done. Ray GREAT job on the tune you know I'll be hitting you back up for more when the car is ready. If anyone has doubts go for a ride in my car. They will be put to rest.

You wouldnt be referring to the smell of straight gas coming from it once I got to JSC? hahaha

I saw this beast last night. Rumor is that it spools faster than GT35R's..

So Ray said as we were tuning it. It did spool up quite quickly. Soon as the 2 very small issues are corrected rides will be available.

On of the hoses on the top of the tank. Could not get it to come off for awhile. Only the one. Popped the cover earlier and nothing coming out there no leaks anywhere else either. IDK what was causing it to smell that strong.

Just have to redo the rear diff cover since its leaking a little bit. Picking up new gasket for that tomorrow morning.

Yea think I only need to get one bottle though cause I do have some left from filling the first time. One bottle Royal Purple $12.99. Oh well. We could just drain into a clean pan but thats such a pain. That should be done Saturday atleast.

mumby 12-07-2008 01:23 PM

Rear Diff leak fixed. Good to go.

TROLL 12-07-2008 01:45 PM

STi rear diffs should ONLY use Subaru LSD gear oil... I would never put anything else in there.

mumby 12-07-2008 05:15 PM

Yea I've heard that but my philosophy is that either it'll be fine and no harm done or it'll go then I have a good reason to upgrade.
