i have a question for you honda guys. my buddy has a DA integra with a built b18A1 motor and he wants to put some boost through it. he has high compression pistons so he will be around 5-6psi just for some fun. what route would you suggest he go with it?

Well b18a motors are kinda silly to build all motor, at least in my eyes, but they love boost. Since he already has a high compression set up, he would probably see decent numbers if he ran low boost like you said and ran a lot of timing, it would spool very fast and be a fun street car.

i agree with all that you have said, my question was more geared towards a "parts list" type of thing for him. i told him to go used, with a t25, 14b or something like that and go from there. its been a while since i've been around honda's, are there any "kits" that are commonly used in the honda world?

i love that teamrice hatch btw.

i have a weird feeling about F/I hondas...i think they're so sweet when they're clean and still streetable and have a DD feel/look to them still....but full out honda drag cars i dont like for some reason...

that k20 s/c fit is sick!!

I would have your buddy check out www.honda-tech.com
Its def. the best site for all things honda.

97TurboDSM 11-16-2008 04:07 PM

ive been on honda-tech for a long time and hes not much of a forum goer. he built his motor himself so hes no stranger to that game, im just curious what others are using parts wise, for turbo'd hondas.

my favorite turbo honda of all time was brandon's ek9 from team rice. That bitch was nasty!

That Team-Rice EK is cool, its a few years old and I've never seen any other footage of it, but would like to. I just don't like the body kit much.

Tell him to look into Full-Race stuff, they are inovators of where turbo hondas are now with manifolds and such. As far kits, you can look into greddy or turbonetics, but they aren't big HP kits and costs more than what they are worth in my opinion. Its much easier and generally cheaper to piece together a kit.

Most of the videos I posted are street cars. Even that high 8 second integra is a street car, I mean I wouldn't drive it on the street but technically it could be.

tell him to do some research and build a custom kit. much cheaper than a kit from a company. with a t3 super 60 or a t3/t4 with .57 trim it would spool quick and most likely go to redline

And in that 2nd video was he doing 140 at the top of 3rd gear? I only hear him shift 3 times then he lets off. Does he shift into 2nd around the corner or something? I just didnt think a s2k could do 140 in 3rd.
