When I read the title of this thread, I thought those were the words of somebody on here. I was about to rip into them...

-shaking his head- So sad... and no... it's not great... it's not funny. I find it sad beyond belief that someone could be this f*ckin ignorant. In March of 2008, there was no excuse for not knowing who Barack Obama was. Especially when you're in a position that he is an entertainer that our young people look up to. As an entertainer, you have influence over young people, and you HAVE to think about that before you let these dumb @$$ comments fly out of your mouth. I hate it when dumb people just perpetuate the stereotype of the uneducated, inappropriate, vulgar black man. That article serves no purpose what-so-ever, other than to confirm the beliefs of all the racists and bigots out there that will say "See, there's another one. I knew they were all like that." F*ckin idiots...

ITSTOCK 11-05-2008 06:21 PM

That's from a while ago, but it's still damn funny!

DMX is in his own little world. He is real though, so he's cool with me!

Buster 11-05-2008 06:24 PM

hahah that was great

I'm fairly confident that 99% or rappers don't really think that way.

I know... and it's f*ckin sickening. They spit all this dumb sh*t about glorifying violence and disrespecting women because they think it's cool... or to enhance their reputation... to appear tough to nobody messes with them. Some say "I'm not telling anybody to do anything. I'm just telling a story." Bullsh*t. Keep you f*ckin stories to yourself. They say, "Parents shouldn't allow kids to listen to it." Well guess what... they DO. And the parents are just as dumb as you. So instead of living in a world of "shoulds," you need to adapt to the reality that parents do let their kids listen to that garbage, so YOU need to take responsibility and not put that bullsh*t out there. I'm a big believer in the old spiderman motto: "With great power comes great responsibility." When you have the power of influence, which rappers do... then why on EARTH would you continue to spread this poison throughout the community and contribute to keeping our precious young people in this negative state of mind?? That gets me so f*ckin heated man...

Although I don't disagree, the reason it continues is simple. Because they get paid a lot of money to do it. Their actions are condoned everytime someone buys one of their new albums or buys a concert ticket. Unfortunately it's a viscious circle that will never cease.

So it's not ok for me to be upset about a problem in our society? You diminish a logical argument about a social issue to whining and blabbing? Wow... you need to wake up

I understand that it was meant to be funny, but there is a larger issue behind the attempted humor that should have been taken into consideration, and i wanted to express my feelings on it. I usually have a good sense of humor! lol.. that issue is just one of my buttons...
