SR20 wont rev past 2500 rpm's & no brakes

ho1ywars 11-02-2008 02:04 PM

check the maf

ok I changed a few settings in the afc neo and got it to rev to redline now. When I push the brake at idle it will make the car stall.... The vaccum line from the master cylinder I have hooked up to the intake manifold, is that in the wrong spot?

Did you try bleeding the brakes at all? Maybe you go air in them somehow during installation of the new motor.

Check your vac lines and if that doesnt work try bleeding the brakes.

What does it feel like when the motor stops revving? Does it feel like a cylinder is going out (loss of spark, ignitor chip bad, bad coils)? Going lean (fuel pump, injectors, maf screwy)? Do you see/smell fuel shoot out of the exhaust when it stops revving?

Check the check valve from the brake booster to the back of the intake manifold. what you did was correct, it was the right spot

What MAF are you using? Stock? Z32?

180sxDrifter 11-08-2008 04:53 AM

Make sure your maf wiring is still good, check connections and tears in the harness any where, also make sure your neo settings in hot wire mode.
