Photosonix Luma 10 light and sound stimulation brain tuning device. The two functions of this device are sound patterns and colored light stimulation to alter brain states. There are a multitude of sessions from 2.5 minutes to 90 minutes long.
Each session has a specific frequency range, with the device capable of between .25hz and 42hz, thus corresponding to the various brain states in the delta-theta-alpha-beta range. The beats differing in each session are either binaural(different frequency for each ear and close in pitch), dual binaural(dual different frequency tones for chord effect and phantom beats), or pulsed surf/chords. The dual tone effect also has the benefit of syncronizing the right and left brain hemispheres, as during most parts of the day there is a dominance of right(creative) or left(analytical) hemispheric activity. There's also sessions specific to right or left activity.
The light part of the device features lights for both eyes(eyes always closed during a session) flashing at various rhythms and colors, sometimes with alternating color for each eye for additional brainstate alteration and visual effect. Not for epileptics!! On the "lightweave"(most) sessions, the colors correspond to the frequencies; i.e. green for alpha, aqua for theta, blue for delta, etc. For the other tracks, there are 20 color choices overall, including differing colors for each eye.
With this device, I am able to alter my brain states to suit my preference. There are tracks for meditation, relaxation, energy, sleep aid, entertainment, and even astral projection. Of the sessions I've tried so far, it has worked most excellent. I just got done with the Schumann's resonance track(7.83-15hz, 7.83-theta- being the natural resonance for the earth's electromagnetic field as determined by Winfried Schumann) and noted a pronounced hypnagogic state, indicative of Theta brain frequencies, after only 23minutes. I was able to completely recharge last night after the mere 10 minute "reset" session, not to mention cev's exterior to the light stimulus. I will eventually try all the sessions. I also have the intention to combine with other stimulus in the future, but must remain vague on that topic. Anyway, even though this device was just shy of $500, I feel that it was money well spent. It's unfortunate that I spent so much money on ego gratifying car junk in the past instead of something actually worthwhile(to me) like this.

Not what I meant lol. However, there IS a special "sensual magic" track that "uses beta range stimulation in the four octave pitch tones of the chakra associated with sexuality".

where can I buy? and will it work with my surround sound system so i can share the magic?

den9 10-09-2008 10:30 PM

high tech stunna shades

what the hell is this, explain it on a normal level, my guess is it recreates acid trips

~Brian~ 10-09-2008 10:33 PM

Wow, sounds pretty cool. Does it really work?

this seems really really cool! Could it be played over speakers as opposed to the headphones? Would that change the effect? Seems pretty neat.

It works, to a degree, for me. Of course, the mileage of another might vary. And, my experimentation with it is still in its infancy. I've worked with consciousness exploration in different forms before and am unsure that just anyone could get the same effect.
Nothing can recreate an acid trip. However, this device can help to release neurochemicals in the brain as it naturally does so during different frequency ranges. Sorry, I'm unable and unwilling to explain this device beyond what I said in the original post.
This device is available from photosonix: http://photosonix.com/luma10.htm
I opted for the "ultimate combination" with the colortrack glasses. $457 + shipping.

There is an optinal plug in that could introduce someone's music to play over the frequencies, but IMO that would be a bit self defeating. The key to this device is to tune completely into the frequency and light stimulus playing. It would'nt work without the headphones as the frequencies vary from ear-ear. Optimally, it is to be used in a silent and dark room.

Glad y'all enjoy my posts. I like to provide my own form of entertainment even though some might not jive with what I say. I might stop by a meet sometime, weather permitting.
