Opinions on the Maxima

i drive 2005 maxima. which is lightly modded nothing serious. i'm just curious at what ppl have to say about the maxima. Ya its a 4dr, ya its like a boat, ya it weighs 3600lbs, not sure if im missing anything else. but it still moves in my opinion. oh ya for the ppl who want to say sumthin stupid go ahead ur more then welcome, its a opinion thread. i know on each forum there are some high horsed f**kers. just dnt expect me to respond back.

my opinion is the maximas can move and keep up with the best of em. even with the boat that is the 6th gen maximas (2004-2008)

BigWhiteTodd 10-05-2008 09:24 AM

is it a ser or a 3.5

maximas have potential, i have a friend whose maxima runs mid 12's in a quarter mile. your maxima is pretty heavy, but i think you should of went with the 5th gen because its lighter and has the 3.5 which is slightly faster than the altima se-r. people are going to say sh*t about maximas anyway but modd ur maxima and show them the VQ potential. i have a 4th gen maxima as my daily and the 750i as my weekend car. i think im going to sell the maxima because i don't have enough money to be in college and pay for two cars. lol

bdmaxima 10-05-2008 09:35 AM

ya it is heavy as all hell buts its been good. theres one dude that has a 04 maxima running mid 12's on the 1/4 mile. and another 05 maxima thats turboed thats pushing over 350 to the wheels. and within the next month or so my boi might be doing low 12's high 11's once he gets his nitrious hooked up. so yaaa there's potential

BTW i spanked many cars with my maxima and its NA.. and i bet you did too. maximas are pretty quick stock.

are you on maxima.org?

bdmaxima 10-05-2008 09:42 AM

i spank a lot of all motor civics, even a few mustangs, and a shocker a 2004 bmw m3 only had a lil less then half a car length on me....but yes moving on i am on maxima.org as well as nycmaximas.org

cool man, but the m3 driver probably did not know how to shift right..

bdmaxima 10-05-2008 12:02 PM

maybe so. i kinda figured that but don't want to really admit lol

240sxDann 10-05-2008 12:22 PM

I like Maximas. :) I'm biased though. I like anything Nissan.

max2moon17 10-05-2008 12:33 PM

question? does anyone like the 2009 maxima? because i think its fugly, maybe it has to grow on me. but i sure as hell know its not a 4DSC=4 door sports car. i think the new altima looks way better.

bdmaxima 10-05-2008 12:38 PM

a lot of the guys on the maxima sites are half and half on this car. but i'm with u on that. the 09 maxima is just ugly. the 6th gen maximas are more of a 4DSC then the 09.

agreed. i was on maxima.org alot but after i got banned because of a DUMB REASON, i am now on nycmaxima.org.

CHAOS 10-05-2008 02:12 PM

i think the maxima is a dumb car... not quite fast, not quite sporty, not quite good. "oh hey we wanted to build a decent car but gave up on that ****."

97TurboDSM 10-05-2008 02:13 PM

i like the styling of the maxima if that counts for anything?

SpEcRv9 10-05-2008 02:24 PM

meh, they're alright....i like em...but the 02 style is my favorite.....id also like for your motor to be in my car....not really something id look to buy if i was gonna get into modding it hardcore...the fact that its 3600lbs isnt a big help, but as a DD id like one....

nah, the maxima is pretty sweet... i got beat by one in my v6 mustangs years upon years ago.

SpEcRv9 10-05-2008 03:00 PM

doesnt the 05maxima come with that stupid cvt that has no shift shock? that would bother me.
