Hey people this is LevittownMonster's brother MIKE.I own a blacked out 300zx TT. I love my car. But I have all ways loved Skylines and I think the time has come to get one. I have a couple questions and I will need help looking. One of my questions are that, can I have in PA with nothing wrong. I was told you can not have skylines in PA but I'm going to look more into that.
Any ways here is some Skylines that I was looking at. http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/cto/853230054.html But something with that $ http://newyork.craigslist.org/que/cto/859617454.html Some that i was looking to ship over. USD 7,183 (including delivery to USA, Detroit port) http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/83...-for-sale.html USD 8,853 (including delivery to USA, Detroit port) http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/69...-for-sale.html But I do not know how much a swap for manual would be. USD 3,753 (including delivery to USA, Detroit port) http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/67...-for-sale.html Agaiin like last one but I like the $ of this one. Any way I am going to keep looking and hope that you guys help me. |
It's going to be expensive. There are some that are here legally and I'm sure you can find one that is for sale easily but the legality of it is iffy. IMO you are better off building a 240 with a skyline conversion, but it's up to you. I'll let the experts hop in and let you know the logistics of getting it legally.

Simple. You cannot import any yourself anymore. You have to find one that has already been legalized.
And if it's not currently registered, it most likely is not legal.
why cant you tho?

Why would you want a Skyline "kit car" anyway? |

Honestly bro, if you're truly looking for one...expect to pay a lot. There are obviously a limited number of these cars available in the US. So supply is low and demand is high. You're definately going to pay a hefty premium for a legalized skyline. That's just the bottom line. Well, WELL over $50K. Just a heads up.
Actually...here's a legalized R33 for $43,500 in FL.

All those other ones on eBay that people are selling for so much cheaper...they are not legalized. People are just trying to get rid of them because there's nothing they can do with them.
Not legal. Its probably not even a real car. It says nothing about being titled, registered, anything. You'd be buying a 15,000 paperweight.
^ Not legal. Hence the low price. Great, you spent $15K on a car that you can't register or insure. What's the point? To keep in your garage, show girls, hope they recognize it from a movie, and hope to get laid?
Well I'm gonna get keep looking but if I do not find any thing I'm gonna be getting a FD
