DDM Tuning-opinions
What do you guys think of DDM Tuning? I was searching around for HID's, and ran across this company. A few BMW owners have had this kit without any issues. The kits are plug and play, they come with lifetime warranty and fully digital ballasts.
http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html I am looking into purchasing a kit. Not sure on which set to get. I was thinking of 8000k since they aren't that blue(already seen installed). P.S. This will go on the BMW. |
I bought mine through Xenith Xenons. Super high quality!!! Top notch. I love them and would buy through them again in a heart beat. www.xenithxenons.com

$140 isn't to bad for a kit, but I am trying to stay under $100. I know you get what you pay for but it looks like DDM is pretty good.

DDMTuning is great. A lot of people on the forums use them. Great and great service. I'm going to get a set of lights and a bumper from them.

Sounds good. I am only concerned about the OBC giving me the low beam error. I am trying to find a fix for it.

The on-board-computer reads a certain resistance when the bulbs are ok. Once the bulb burns out the resistance goes up, there for it tells me on the display LOW BEAM ERROR, which means that it thinks one of the bulbs is out. Most cases, installing HID's causes this error. There are ways to get around, like starting the car with the lights already on. Everything will function normal, just the annoying BEEP and the message. I am trying to see which wire is responsible for the resistance to the OBC, so I can just put in the correct resistor in there to prevent the error.

Wow. I didn't know that those cars had that. That sucks. What have other people done to fix the problem?

This car has a lot of messages. Low coolant, low brake fluid, trans program, low engine oil, low washer fluid, brake pad wear sensors. You can even program the OBC to BEEP at you when you've went past the set MPH. Those are just a few things, there are a ton more. |

Maybe if you contact DDM they'd be able to give you a better answer/suggestion.

It includes the bulbs, straight from their website.
Full Kit Includes: - DDM Digital Slim ballast (2) - HID Bulbs (2) - Life-Time Warranty (BOW3 and HID HARNESS sold separately) |
Good deal, I bought mine a while ago, the prices especially on the good kits have dropped hugely, used to be nothing good for under $300 now the good ones are around $100.

bump
Starting the 30th their 35w kits are only $50 and their 55w kits are $75. I've been wanting to pick up their m-tech bumpers for a while but their shipping is all screwed up.
