STi got rear ended........By an EVO

So i was at a car meet last night at the local best buy. This meet usually draws around 150 cars, sometime even 200. I decided to leave when a bunch of cars i was parked around were rolling out. We left the parking lot and proceeded to get on an on ramp for 295. When the light turned red the sports cars in front of me all got on there brakes pretty hard. Im assuming the first person who stopped really got on em and threw everyone else off. The spec-b got on em really hard in front of me so i also had to get on em hard and i hear a car lock em up and the screech of tires sliding and then abs kick in, then i feel the impact. I made the right instead of the left to get onto 295 ( no cars around) and we went into a bank. I got out of my car and there was little to no damage. My plate was bent and there is a little knick that will get covered up when i get my cf license plate holder. I checked my bumper underneath and there was no damage what so ever. No foam was impacted and no metal was bent so i was just like lets forget about it. There was NO damage to my car at all besided the bent plate and knick next to my plate. Its not even a knick where paint will peel it was just like a little ding. His car has paint starting to peel right under the mitsu logo in his grill.

The main reason why i wansnt that upset was there was no damage. I also knew the kid from seeing him at meets and whatnot so i want gonna file an insurance claim over something so little. I know how much insurance costs on cars like ours (wrx's, sti's & evo's) and cant afford for it to go up even more. I was also really lucky and was really happy it was an evo behind me and if was any other car that didnt have a set of brembos. If it was anything else there would have been a ton of damage because i really had to get on my brakes.

i can't tell you how many times I freak my friends out because someone in front of me nails their brakes when I'm a car or two behind them and I have to hit mine...

thank god for good disc brakes...

I saw that. Sucks...

Why document it on the forum if it doesn't matter, though?

Sounds like everyone was driving wrecklessly if you all had to get on your brakes so hard just for a stoplight.
Glad there was no serious damage, but why is this a thread? Where is the potential for discussion here?

cause im bored in class right now and have nothing to do. and idk you never really see any cars with nice brakes running into the back of you

sounds like dumb behavior all around. good to hear there was no real damage and nobody got hurt.

you need to check further than that... foam was meant to absorb and will show very little sign of damage..
go find your crumple zones and look to see if any are raised..or compacted..
